I send a fraternal greeting to all my friends at Open Mic and to the entire community of hivers in general. This post is my official entry to the 80th week of this musical meeting organized by the user @cabelindsay. It is about sharing music and being united in a single Global Harmony through a theme chosen by the members of the community themselves; this time the theme is "New Day", a proposal from the user @oscarcede.
In previous publications I have talked about this beautiful Venezuelan birthday song that I present to you today to sing about the theme. It is titled "Today Is Your Day", and although its author is unknown, it belongs to the compilation of Maestro Vicente Emilio Sojo. In the Venezuelan choral world and in musical families, like mine, it is a piece of great importance and sentimental value used for birthdays.
I chose this theme because I think that every day is a new opportunity to start over, to strengthen and to reinvent ourselves, and of course a new year as well. Over the years I have learned the value of time and the importance of taking advantage of it by doing the activities we love and with the people who have earned our affection. I take this opportunity to ask you to get away from all the negative, it is not impossible to overcome what hurts us. May this New Day be an opportunity to wake up and change bad habits and bad company.
The video and photos were captured with my Alcatel Cameo X, and I used various editing applications such as Audacity, Shot Cut, Windows Movie Maker, and PhotoDirector. I take this opportunity to thank those who support my work at Hive Blog, especially the OCD community and my friend @mipiano, who has become the best example to follow for all of us who make life at Open Mic. Envío un fraternal saludo a todos mis amigos de Open Mic y a toda la comunidad de hivers en general. Este post es mi entrada oficial a la semana número 80 de este encuentro musical organizado por el usuario Cabe Lindsay. Se trata de compartir música y estar unidos en una sola Armonía Global a través de una temática elegida por los mismos miembros de la comunidad; en esta ocasión el tema es "Nuevo Día", una propuesta del usuario Oscarcede.
En anteriores publicaciones he hablado sobre esta hermosa canción de cumpleaños venezolana que hoy les presento para cantar acerca de la temática. Se titula "Hoy Es Tu Día", y aunque su autor es desconocido pertenece a la recopilación del Maestro Vicente Emilio Sojo. En el mundo coral venezolano y en familias musicales, como la mía es una pieza de gran importancia y valor sentimental usada para los cumpleaños.
Elegí este tema porque pienso que todos los días son una nueva oportunidad para recomenzar, para fortalecer y para reinventarse, y por supuesto un nuevo año también. Con los años he aprendido el valor del tiempo y la importancia de aprovecharlo haciendo las actividades que amamos y con las personas que se han ganado nuestro cariño. Aprovecho para pedirles que se alejen de todo lo negativo, no es imposible superar lo que nos hace daño. Que este Nuevo Día sea una oportunidad para despertar y cambiar malos hábitos y malas compañías.
