Hive Open Mic Week #182 || A Cover of Ndid Amaka (Patience is Good) [Eng/Esp] @jesus-son

Hello Hive Open Mic Week #182, my name is @jesus-son and here I am to make a presentation on the theme of the week. In as much as we are at liberty to present any melody, I tried to find something traditional eventhough now in the context of Nigeria and not exactly in the origin of folk and metal music. I congratulate the artiste of the week for this choice made and which has gathered us all together to produce beautiful songs.

In this video I shall present a song that talks about the virtue of patience. The lyrics is in Igbo language of Nigeria so, I shall explain here with English.

Patience is one quality that is necessary in life whoever that you are or represent. Whether as a boss or a servant, you need to be patient in life with people around you, with things around you and indeed with unseen beings too (Here we can talk of God).

Life has given birth to many but impatience has claimed the lives of so many. Many have missed great opportunities because they were not patient. Many have wronged people badly by making hasty conclusions because they were impatient to listen to the details of events.

Most times, accidents occur on the road and people die because the drivers are not patient with themselves. Indeed, we have lost many valuables which we could have retained had we been patient.

The song I present you was produced many years ago by a Nigetian local singer. He made a lot of impacts in the lives of people with the song. It talks about patience. He says that there nothing as important as to have the virtue of patience.

He tells the story of a man known as Joseph (joe) who was very rich and has everything he wanted. But he has no child and so was worried. When it was confirmed that the problem was from Him that he had low sperm count, he wept and couldn't bear it. So he took a rope and hung himself. Joe died not knowing that his wife was pregnant with a child for him.

It was a sad thing when the wife saw what had happened because she had hid it and was going to make it a surprise, but then Joe had died. That is the effect of impatience. We are therfore encouraged to be patient in life. Even when we pray to God and it seems He doesn't answer, just be patient and it will be fine at the end.

It was fun singing in my language as I am so much comfortable doing so. I hope you derive some meaning in this work. Thank you for your time and support.

hola Hive Open Mic Week #182, mi nombre es @jesus-son y aquí estoy para hacer una presentación sobre el tema de la semana. En la medida en que tenemos la libertad de presentar cualquier melodía, intenté encontrar algo tradicional, aunque ahora en el contexto de Nigeria y no exactamente en el origen de la música folk y metal. Felicito al artista de la semana por esta elección que nos ha reunido a todos para producir hermosas canciones.

En este video presentaré una canción que habla sobre la virtud de la paciencia. La letra está en el idioma igbo de Nigeria, así que la explicaré aquí en inglés.

La paciencia es una cualidad necesaria en la vida, sea quien sea o represente. Ya sea como jefe o sirviente, debes ser paciente en la vida con las personas que te rodean, con las cosas que te rodean y también con los seres invisibles (aquí podemos hablar de Dios).

La vida ha dado a luz a muchos, pero la impaciencia se ha cobrado la vida de muchos. Muchos han perdido grandes oportunidades porque no fueron pacientes. Muchos han hecho mucho daño a la gente al sacar conclusiones apresuradas porque estaban impacientes por escuchar los detalles de los acontecimientos.

La mayoría de las veces, los accidentes ocurren en la carretera y las personas mueren porque los conductores no tienen paciencia consigo mismos. De hecho, hemos perdido muchos objetos de valor que podríamos haber conservado si hubiéramos tenido paciencia.

La canción que les presento fue producida hace muchos años por un cantante local de Nigecia. Causó mucho impacto en la vida de las personas con la canción. Habla de paciencia. Dice que no hay nada tan importante como tener la virtud de la paciencia.

Cuenta la historia de un hombre conocido como Joseph (joe) que era muy rico y tiene todo lo que quería. Pero no tiene hijos y por eso estaba preocupado. Cuando se confirmó que el problema era suyo, que tenía un bajo recuento de espermatozoides, lloró y no pudo soportarlo. Entonces tomó una cuerda y se ahorcó. Joe murió sin saber que su esposa estaba embarazada de un hijo para él.

Fue muy triste cuando la esposa vio lo que había sucedido porque lo había escondido e iba a darle una sorpresa, pero luego Joe había muerto. Ése es el efecto de la impaciencia. Por lo tanto, se nos anima a ser pacientes en la vida. Incluso cuando oramos a Dios y parece que Él no responde, solo ten paciencia y todo estará bien al final.

Fue divertido cantar en mi idioma porque me siento muy cómoda haciéndolo. Espero que encuentres algún significado en este trabajo. Gracias por tu tiempo y apoyo.
