    About :

Greetings to the Vibes Web3 Music community!

    Week 10 is here.

While I put all my passion into singing 'Hallelujah' memories of the Eurovision Song Contest come flooding in. To me Eurovision symbolizes a mix of diversity, imagination and self expression. Qualities that resonate deeply with the essence of 'Hallelujah'.

If I were to envision a Eurovision rendition of 'Hallelujah' I'd see myself standing on stage amidst a setup that allows the music to shine. The focus would be, on my vocals accompanied by lighting effects that reflect the songs depth. My performance would be genuine, sincere and vulnerable. Much like the lyrics of 'Hallelujah'.

Interpreting this song is my way of honoring the Eurovision spirit. Even if it isn't the Eurovision norm.

When I sing 'Hallelujah' it's more than delivering a melody. It's, about sharing a piece of my soul. This essence captures the spirit of Eurovision; connecting through our narratives, sentiments and melodies with audiences

I decided to take on a challenge by attempting to master the song "Hallelujah" that has been, on my learning list for quite some time.

I vividly recall the time I heard Alexandra Burkes mesmerizing version of "Hallelujah." It was a moment for me inspiring me to create my rendition of the song. I am confident that there will be covers of this piece, in my musical journey ahead.

The chorus of the song goes:

    'Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Halleluuuujah'

I like the melody, the beat and the dynamic of the song as a whole. It is a timeless classic that evokes certain kinds of emotions in me on a very deep level. The lyrics are poetic and open to interpretation, and I love the challenge of making the song my own.

Hallelujah evokes a mix of emotion in me that I can't explain - at first I had though it was a gospel song, but later realized that its a song about love, longing, and the search for connection.

The line that truly spoke to me was, "Love is, cold and a broken hallelujah."

I used the microphone that came with my Bluetooth speaker to record my cover and plugged in my Lavalier mic to my phone so as to reduce background noise during recording. I was trying to be creative my experimenting how the two mics will sound when used together, and it wasn't so bad. If I had used only the bluetooth's mic, there would have been a lot of echoes.

Maybe in the future, I will get a dynamic mic and sound system and also learn ways on how I can make my audio output sound better. However, for now I will keep managing what I have while ensuring it comes out great.

I experienced a few challenges tackling some notes in the song, so instead of staying there feeling stuck, or attempting to sing it the way the original artist did it, I tweaked things a bit to my own way.

Finally, I didn't want to leave out the backing vocals which which I recorded separately and added to the song to give it a finishing touch. I'm not sure how well I did the harmony but I just hope it is not so cringe hehe.

That's all for now, see y'all in week 11.
