HIVE OPEN MIC #191 (ENG/ESP): Beautiful Pets - "The Naughty Cat Song" by @jasperdick (Original)

Hello everybody on Hive and especially the Hive Open Mic Community! My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you Cape Town in South Africa!

Welcome to Week 191 of the Hive Open Mic Challenge. The theme for this week is “Beautiful Pets”!

For those of you who don’t know, I’ve decided to alter my Three Tune Tuesday posts to be based around the Hive Open Mic theme of the week, and how I would go about tackling it. If you are wanting to take part this week, but need some help interpreting what kind of songs would suit the theme, please go check out my post here:

In that post, I picked 3 songs that would be perfect for the theme, namely:
• “I Love My Dog” by Cat Stevens / Yusuf Islam
• “Ben” by Michael Jackson
• “Old Blue” by The Byrds

However, I have my own original song I want to sing! “The Naughty Cat Song”!
I have a two-year-old daughter Madison. When my wife Julia was still pregnant with Madison, and I knew I was about to live in a world of endless children’s songs like “Old MacDonald” and “Wheels on the Bus”, I decided to try and write a song of my own, based on our two beautiful cats Mr Pickles and Bunny. You can see more about them in these two early posts I put on the Hive Pets Community when I was quite new to Hive about 18 months ago…

Even more than just sounding like a children’s song, “The Naughty Cat Song” has actions similar to the famous “Head Shoulders Knees and Toes (and eyes and ears and mouth and nose…)”. You can see me ask a friend to try and demonstrate the actions at a little gig in this video. She did very well with no practice!

And no, we never actually smack our Naughty cat’s bums… we love them too much! It is just an idle threat!

Sin embargo, ¡tengo mi propia canción original que quiero cantar! ¡“La canción del gato travieso”!
Tengo una hija de dos años, Madison. Cuando mi esposa Julia todavía estaba embarazada de Madison y sabía que estaba a punto de vivir en un mundo de infinitas canciones infantiles como “Old MacDonald” y “Wheels on the Bus”, decidí intentar escribir una canción propia. Basado en nuestros dos hermosos gatos, Mr Pickles y Bunny. Puedes ver más sobre ellos en estas dos primeras publicaciones que publiqué en la comunidad de mascotas de Hive cuando era bastante nuevo en Hive hace unos 18 meses...

Incluso más que sonar como una canción infantil, “The Naughty Cat Song” tiene acciones similares a la famosa “Head Shoulders Knees and Toes (and ojos y oídos y boca y nariz…)”. Puedes verme pedirle a un amigo que intente demostrar las acciones en un pequeño concierto en este video. ¡Lo hizo muy bien sin práctica!

Y no, en realidad nunca le damos una palmada en el trasero a nuestro gato travieso... ¡lo amamos demasiado! ¡Es sólo una amenaza inútil!
