Stretching and flexibility session | Post Workouts (DO NOT OVERLOOK) [ESP|ENG]
Hello my people, greetings to all the #hivers and colleagues of #swc, I hope you are all well. I ask you, do you want to finish training and go home and not have that uncomfortable fatigue on you? The solution is to do a good stretching and flexibility session after each workout. Doing this will be beneficial for you in several aspects, but here I will give you two, first, by doing this session after finishing training we avoid pain or injuries. and second, we gain muscle, yes, just as you read it, it turns out that there are studies that support the fact that if you stretch the muscle when it is under stress, it grows. It's a win-win, you don't lose anything by doing the session at the end of each workout. Below I leave you more benefits and a somewhat more in-depth description of this topic, I hope you enjoy it.
Flexibility is the ability of muscles and joints to move through a full range of motion. It is an important part of physical fitness as it can help improve sports performance, prevent injuries and reduce pain.
Stretches are exercises that help increase flexibility. They can be done before, during or after training, but it is especially important to stretch after training to help muscles recover and prevent injury.
The benefits of stretching after training include:
Improves muscle recovery: Stretching helps muscles relax and reduce muscle tension. This can help muscles recover more quickly after training.
Reduces risk of injury: Stretching helps improve muscle and joint flexibility. This can help prevent injuries, such as muscle pulls and sprains.
Improves Posture: Stretching can help improve posture by strengthening the muscles that support the spine.
Increases range of motion: Stretching can help increase the range of motion of your joints. This can be beneficial for everyday activities, such as walking, climbing stairs, and tying shoes.
Post-workout stretches should be done in a gentle and controlled manner. The stretch should not be forced, and the position should be held for at least 30 seconds.
Some examples of stretches that can be done after training include:
Hamstring Stretch: Stand with your legs together and your back straight. Bend one leg back and hold your foot with your hand. Press the heel towards the gluteus and maintain the position for 30 seconds.
Quadriceps Stretch: Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart. Bend one leg forward and hold your foot with your hand. Pull your knee toward your chest and hold the position for 30 seconds.
Chest Stretch: Stand with your arms extended in front of you. Bend your torso forward and touch your toes. Hold the position for 30 seconds.
It is important to consult with a doctor or physical therapist before beginning a new stretching program, especially if you have a medical condition.
