Hello dear Hive brothers and sisters, Greetings and blessings to us all. Back again with me, Zein Grind from the @indonesiabersatu band. It's a pleasure to be back at the weekly Hive #OpenMic event which has entered its 182nd week, with the theme Folk and Symphonic Metal, chosen by this week's spotlight artist @stefy.music. I'm excited about this week's theme.

Folk is a traditional music genre related to regional culture, while Symphonic Metal is a loud and distorted heavy metal music genre with classical orchestral elements. This time, however, I performed "Gundul Pacul," a traditional Central Javanese song with a metal twist. Although it doesn't belong to the Symphonic Metal genre, the music I played was enough to distort this week's theme.

"Gundul Pacul" is a traditional Central Javanese song that is usually sung by children while playing. Although there is no exact record of the song's creator, it is thought to have been around since 1400 and was popularised by Sunan Kali Jaga, a Javanese Islamic scholar who used art and song as a proselytising tool. In my opinion, this song has a deep philosophical meaning, teaching about the responsibility of a leader to maintain his mandate. Leaders must be humble, and wise, and strive for the welfare of their people.

In the process of making this music video, I created MIDI drum beats using FL Studio software, then edited them with Adobe Audition while recording guitar, bass, and vocal sounds.
