dime qué razón me traes
If the sparrowhawk could be eaten
just like the cattle
I would have already eaten
this red hawk
Sparrowhawk, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep,
sparrowhawk, tao, tao, tao, tao, tao,
yellow-billed hawk,
pink-billed hawk.
That sparrowhawk, little cousin,
hey little cousin, little and a big flyer
that soars high
to spot the dove.
Canoeist of the Arauca River,
of the Arauca River, pass me to the other side
the red-billed hawk is chasing me
the red-billed sparrowhawk is chasing me
hawk, yellow-billed hawk,
yellow-billed hawk, flying over the quemao
tell me what reason you bring me
of the red-billed hawk.
In the Barranca de Apure
ay, de Apure, a sparrow hawk sighed
and in his sigh he said:
"Girl from Camaguan".
The eagle in the bush,
in the bush and in the estuary the carrao
and on the roads of the plain
the red hawk.
