Meeting my favourite artist | @hanselmusic

Hi everyone! I’m glad to be here and attending @mipiano call I’m gonna talk about the time I met one of my favourite bands. I honestly don’t have a super favourite artist or band because I’m a big fan of music and listening a lot of artists which I like a lot.

But one of them will be Human Tetris. They are from Russia and play Post punk and indie rock. I started to listen to them around 2015 or 2016 and immediately had a good impression to myself. They were the first band from that Russian post punk wave that I started to listening to.

In 2018 they announce a Latin American tour and one of the cities were mine, Bogotá, so I was very excited to see them live, a few months before, I went to see another band that I like a lot, Radiohead. So I was ready for another rock night. I bought the tickets with my brother and a girl from a previous job and went together to the gig.

It was hosted in a small venue, about 400 people were there and had a very danceable, punk and dark night, it was awesome! Since the venue was small, the band was very close and they decided to greet whoever wanted to meet them. So it was my opportunity to meet them, talk a little bit and buy some band merch.

All the people wanted to meet the singer and the keyboard player, but I took the chance to talk first with the bass player, I talked to him, he was very kind and happy, it was his first time in Colombia so everything was new to him. I bought a CD from their latest album and they signed it.

I didn’t like taking pictures in that age, so sadly I don’t have pictures with them, and I just found a small video from that day in a previous phone, but of course I still have my CD and the ticket. Some curiosity is that the keyboard player likes my piano covers, she follows me on social media, and eventually listen to these covers, for me that’s awesome.

That night for me was also inspiring, thanks to that concert I said to myself I wanted to start a new music project. When I saw people dancing, singing, jumping with that music, I wanted to do the same as artist, so the idea of Münchhausen was about to start. Now I’m the one who see people dancing, jumping, and singing with my music. That night was special for me thanks to Human Tetris.

I got inspired by them and I’m happy to recall that memory from that time, now I want to be the one who inspire others to pursue their dreams. Thanks for reading, I want to read your stories too!
