What is that one movie that has left its mark on you?

What is there in it that inspired you and made you a better person?

These are the questions that the Holos&Lotus community is asking in its new contest "Films that inspire" and this is my entry.

Every film, play, book, or art itself, has a message from the author to the consumer of the work.
Films are par excellence, direct messages because of their audiovisual form.
Of course, the messages are not so obvious, in many of them, the message is clear, in others you have to be very attentive to the plot to know what the film leaves us.

The Last Samurai is a film that came to me at a time when I felt disappointed with life, with my family, with everything, and when vice and addictions had trapped me.

I had been a successful man, with a good income thanks to my profession and work, but I fell very low and my self-esteem collapsed, leading me to ruin.

The movie took me to a scenario like the one Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise) lived through, where he only believed in himself and lost values.

Being a prisoner of the samurai leader Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe), is when he begins to learn about values, about the strength of the warrior, that the wonder of life is in every breath of the air around us and that honor can come back to us.

So it happened to me, so I did and things started to get better, the sun started to shine again in my life.

The message in itself that the film leaves me with is that we should not be defeated by challenges or disappointments, that there is always a reason to celebrate life, and that we should do it with the attitude of a triumphant warrior, with love and waiting for opportunities to be better.
That there will always be a helping hand that will help you see your mistakes, listen to you, and give you options to follow.

To be the last samurai is to have honor, it is to have convictions and nothing should keep us away from it. We must be responsible for our actions, improve them and assume our consequences with courage; only that will make us immensely happy and we will live in peace and love.

Even though the movie is one more war between good guys and bad guys, gringos and not, it is for me a wonderful movie that I could watch a thousand times and I would never get tired of it because it unleashes in me the desire to overcome challenges.

I sincerely hope you enjoy this content made with love for you.

I cordially invite @soyunasantacruz and @purrix to participate in this nice contest.

May the universe grant you everything you long for.
