    BACKSTORY
The prophets spoke of the day when the great Pootis Bird migration will arrive and bless us once more with their Pootis.

This year, however, that day is nowhere to be found. This video will attempt to explain why the Pootis Bird migration won't happen and hopefully answers how did it ended up like this.

    BEHIND THE CLOSED DOORS
This video was made a year ago, when I was reading up on Pootis Bird online (a Team Fortress 2 fan character created by Dr. Face, for those who don't know).

It was at this point when I realized, that bird man hasn't appear recently. So I created a video with a story of mine trying to explain why the Pootis Bird hasn't made an appearance on every TF2 fan video.

This was my first time attempting to animate from stratch (meaning I animated the first half all by myself) as opposite to using pre-packaged animation to do my animating bidding. Remember, the animation software I used, Source Filmmaker, was build on the same game engine as the Team Fortress 2 (Source Engine).
I took some inspirations from Poool's animation and some obscure Hmong movie for my plot, weaving in environmental themes in the process.

I hope it didn't come across and over the top or pretentious; it naturally developed as I continued animating the story.

I think it ended up showing up way more abrupt than I realized...

A few months after I finished this video, I notice I'd made a typo: Pootis' name is spelt as Pott**is.
By the time I spotted the typo, I lost the editing file to correct it, so I download the video file and cross it out with the proper spelling. I also took this time to rewrite the epilogue, since the original epilogue's wording sounds very awkward and made no sense to any casual viewers.

I had a lot of fun making this video, despite how stupid it ended up.

By the way, the title of the Hmong movie I mentioned is "Niam Nkauj Kub Kaws & Niam Nkauj Zuag Paj 2."
The entire film is in a foreign language, so you may not be able to understand the story and dialogue unless you got a Hmong friend to interpret them in English.

    Happy Halloween and have fun.
    Peace.
