It's probably not a surprise anymore that we get to see our efforts being well paid only after the hardest climb, but a thing that I always appreciated at my country and especially in the Bucegi Mountains, is that no matter what path you'll follow you will be blessed with spectacular landscapes during your whole hike.
And even though our trip started quite clumsy on that day, not being able to get into Horoabei Canyon, we still took advantage of the rest of the day following the trail of the Ialomita River which we first heard about on the Monastery and Cave Ialomita that we found out it's crossing around 400 km of the country.
That was the single detail we needed to feel determined to hit the road further and even discover the origins of the river that is located on 2.000 meters altitude just where Obârşia Ialomiţei Waterfall is being formed. ❤️
As I always say, it's amazing getting into nature and explore it. But it's even more special when you discover the origins of something or some very few places that were left untouched by the people's contribution.
The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:
The trip was taken in August 2020, and it represents the 3rd part of the yearly road trip we take around Romania, from 2020! There's only one part left that is coming out soon and then we get back to more recent journeys we had out there! 😍
