Homefront ~ Why we fight ~ [ENG|ESP]

¡Que tal amigos! Bienvenidos al inicio de otra serie de Gameplays, esta vez, un poco mas cortos, mas organizados y espero, mas llevadero para todos, el titulo que estaremos explorando en esta ocasión es Homefront un juego que salió en 2011 y que en su momento gozo de buenas criticas para el momento, es un juego que se presenta como un FPS mas de la época pero con una ambientación bastante potente y poco vista por ese entonces, la crueldad del universo de Homefront se puede ver desde el inicio y aunque aun es temprano para decir que es una buena historia para mi, tengo que admitir que el argumento promete, con esta breve introducción, espero que se animen a ver el video, o leer el resto de esta publicación, de ser así, continuemos :)

Primero brindemos un poco de contexto, en el universo de Homefornt, tras la muerte del líder de Corea del Norte, un nuevo líder toma su lugar y comienza su carrera política y militar con el objetivo de unificar a Corea del Norte con Corea del Sur, cosa que consigue en tiempo record, mientras esto ocurre, las naciones del mundo piden sanciones contra la Corea Unida, sin embargo dichas sanciones no parecen surtir efecto.

Por otro lado, Estados Unidos experimenta una grave crisis con el aumento del precio de la gasolina, hasta el punto de haber una total escasez del recursos en toda la nación, esto debido a los conflictos que estaban ocurriendo en Medio Oriente con la quema de campos petrolíferos.

Corea termina anexándose a Japón y comienza a invadir paises a diestra y siniestra por todo el pacifico, mientras el los Estados Unidos se tiene que retirar, pues, además de la crisis de la gasolina, también experimentan un colapso total con la devaluación de su moneda, es decir el dolar, aumentando aun mas el descontrol y las protestas.

Dado que la crisis era de una magnitud casi insalvable, Corea toma cartas en el asunto y comienza una ofensiva contra los Estado Unidenses en suelo Norteamericano, y resultan ganadores, mas que nada debido a la pobre organización y división que persistía en el ejercito. Es así como comenzamos por fin con Homefront.

El juego comienza literalmente siendo nosotros arrestados, sin conocer mucho detalle acerca de los cargos, mas que nada, parece ser que nuestro personaje no simpatiza con las fuerzas de ocupación (y como culparlo) no dan nuestro cachazo y nos transfieren a un Autobús de prisioneros, ahí podemos ver a las afueras que las cosas no pintan nada bien.

También se puede apreciar que los Coreanos tiene una tecnología bastante futurista, quizás hasta superior a la mayoría de paises, lo que quizás seria una explicación sutil del porque fue tan rápido el ascenso de ser un pequeño país en relación con sus vecinos, a ser una autentica potencia en todos los sentidos, esta escena me recordó un poco al Half-Life 2 cuyo servidor no ha jugado al completo, que se conoce muchas partes icónicas de ese legendario juego.

Pero bueno nos desviemos, parece que el gobierno Coreano nos quiere a nosotros por ser pilotos, al menos eso se dice en el primer capitulo, el hecho es que mas pronto que tarde, el Autobus donde vamos es embestido, y somos rescatados de nuestro destino por lo que parecen ser miembros de la resistencia, no hubo mucho tiempo para presentaciones, pues teníamos que salir del lugar rápido.

Pronto somos perseguidos por las fuerzas de Corea y a punta de plomo y granadas logramos repeler y combatir con exito a las fuerzas de Corea, que son superioes en numeros y armamento, un detalle curioso es que la municion escasea bastante, no es como en Carlos Duty que la tiene a full municion, por lo menos la que recojes del suelo tendran un cargador y como mucho, pero no me parecio un problema, mas bien me parecio un detalle positivo y que agrega cierto toque de realismo, No ta' mal.

Lo que si me pareció negativo es la perdida de tiempo que tienes que hacer buscando donde carajos es la tecla que te piden pulsar, ¿Que es boton 9? ¿Como que boton 12? cuando paso esto me saco mucho de la inmersión, quizás por vejez del juego, pero no deja de ser algo negativo, al menos para mi.

Siguiendo la historia, logramos despistar por breves momentos al ejercito coreano, tiempo en el que llegamos con el líder de la resistencia, o uno de sus lideres, nos explican que nos rescataron con el fin de ayudar al ejercito de los Estados Unidos que están en las afueras, en algun lugar y que necesitan combustible, sin embargo la conversación es interrumpida por otro ataque coreano y tendremos que resistir y repelerlo lo mejor que podamos.

Aunque el ejercito Coreano este dotado de bastante equipo letal, la resistencia no se queda atras contratacando con un Goliath que tendremos que operar, la escena quedo bien, pero como no supe que botón era exactamente para fijar los objetivos, pues perdí aun mas tiempo viendo los controles, pero en fin, omitiendo ese detalle, el Goliath emerge para atacar a todo objetivo que le marquemos.

Al principio logramos repeler totalmente el asalto de ejercito coreano, pero estos, ordenan un ataque Aéreo a la zona e imprevistamente quedamos atrapados en el, sin embargo, logramos sobrevivir.

Se comenta en la radio que los hechos que ocurrieron con nuestro escape fue tachado con un mero enfrentamiento entre insurgentes y poco mas, sin embargo la voz de la radio afirma que no crean las mentiras oficial e insta a todo a que luchen, posteriormente nos encontramos en una habitación desconocida, postrados en una cama y con el líder de la resistencia, impaciente por hablar con nosotros.

Welcome to the beginning of another series of Gameplays, this time, a little shorter, more organized and hopefully, more bearable for everyone, the title that we will be exploring this time is Homefront a game that came out in 2011 and that at the time enjoyed good reviews for the time, is a game that is presented as a FPS more of the time but with a fairly powerful atmosphere and little seen by then, the cruelty of the Homefront universe can be seen from the beginning and although it is still early to say that it is a good story for me, I have to admit that the argument promises, with this brief introduction, I hope you are encouraged to watch the video, or read the rest of this publication, if so, let's continue : )

First let's provide some context, in the Homefornt universe, after the death of the leader of North Korea, a new leader takes his place and begins his political and military career with the goal of unifying North Korea with South Korea, which he achieves in record time, while this happens, the nations of the world call for sanctions against the United Korea, however such sanctions do not seem to take effect.

On the other hand, the United States experiences a serious crisis with the increase in the price of gasoline, to the point that there is a total shortage of the resource throughout the nation, this due to the conflicts that were occurring in the Middle East with the burning of oil fields.

Korea ends up annexing Japan and begins to invade countries left and right across the Pacific, while the United States has to withdraw, because, in addition to the gasoline crisis, they also experience a total collapse with the devaluation of its currency, i.e. the dollar, increasing even more the lack of control and protests.

Since the crisis was of an almost insurmountable magnitude, Korea took matters into its own hands and began an offensive against the United States on American soil, and they were the winners, mostly due to the poor organization and division that persisted in the army. This is how we finally start Homefront.

The game literally starts with us being arrested, without knowing much detail about the charges, more than anything, it seems that our character does not sympathize with the occupation forces (and how to blame him) they don't give us our cachazo and transfer us to a prisoner bus, there we can see outside that things don't look good at all.

You can also see that the Koreans have a fairly futuristic technology, perhaps even superior to most countries, which perhaps would be a subtle explanation of why it was so fast rise from being a small country in relation to its neighbors, to be a real power in every way, this scene reminded me a little Half-Life 2 whose server has not played in full, who knows many iconic parts of that legendary game.

But well let's get sidetracked, it seems that the Korean government wants us for being pilots, at least that is said in the first chapter, the fact is that sooner rather than later, the bus where we go is rammed, and we are rescued from our fate by what appear to be members of the resistance, there was not much time for presentations, because we had to leave the place quickly.

Soon we are pursued by the Korean forces and at the point of lead and grenades we manage to repel and successfully fight the Korean forces, which are superioes in numbers and weapons, a curious detail is that the ammunition is quite scarce, it is not like in Carlos Duty that has full ammunition, at least that you pick up from the ground will have a magazine and at most, but I did not find a problem, rather I found a positive detail and that adds a touch of realism, not bad.

What I found negative is the waste of time that you have to do looking for where the fuck is the key that you are asked to press, what is button 9? What is button 12? when this happened it took me out of the immersion, maybe because of the old age of the game, but it is still something negative, at least for me.

Continuing the story, we managed to mislead the Korean army for brief moments, time in which we arrived with the leader of the resistance, or one of its leaders, they explain that they rescued us in order to help the U.S. army that are on the outskirts, somewhere and they need fuel, however the conversation is interrupted by another Korean attack and we will have to resist and repel it as best we can.

Although the Korean army is endowed with enough lethal equipment, the resistance is not left behind counterattacking with a Goliath that we will have to operate, the scene was good, but as I did not know what button was exactly to set the targets, because I lost even more time watching the controls, but anyway, omitting that detail, the Goliath emerges to attack any target that we mark.

At the beginning we managed to totally repel the assault of the Korean army, but they ordered an air attack to the area and unexpectedly we were trapped in it, however, we managed to survive.

It is commented on the radio that the events that occurred with our escape was branded with a mere confrontation between insurgents and little more, however the voice of the radio says not to believe the official lies and urges all to fight, later we find ourselves in an unknown room, bedridden and with the leader of the resistance, impatient to talk to us.
