I have done this work because someone who likes what I do commissioned it from me and gave me a Colombian bill to make it look better. Hope you like.

This painting was not easy, since the banknote is a little deteriorated due to constant use, but the client wanted the banknote to look like this, according to him the aesthetics of a painting on a banknote looks better when the material is heavily used, and I think you are right. So I very carefully applied the base paint and then on top of it I made the sketch of Pablo Escobar's face.

No fue fácil esta pintura, ya que el billetes está un poco deteriorado por el uso constante, pero el cliente quería que el billete se viera así, según él la estética de una pintura en billete se ve mejor cuando el material esta muy utilizado, y pienso que tiene razón. Así que con mucho cuidado apliqué la base de pintura y luego encima de ella hice el boceto del rostro de Pablo Escobar.

So once the sketch was done I started painting. The photo I used as a reference is in black and white, so I had to improvise a little to find a skin tone, so I saw many color photographs of Pablo Escobar to guide me and find the right tone.

Así que una vez hecho el boceto comencé a pintar. La foto que usé de referencia se encuentra en blanco y negro, así que me toco improvisar un poco para encontrar un tono de piel, por lo que vi muchos fotografías a color de Pablo Escobar para así guiarme y encontrar el tono adecuado

The next step was to make the hair, so I painted it in dark tones but using dark brown as a base, from there I added navy blue and also some black, that helps the tone of the hair, despite being black because it has contrasts.

El siguiente paso fue hacer el cabello, así que lo pinte de tonos oscuros pero utilizando como base el color café oscuro, a partir de ahí fui agregando azul marino y también algo de negro, eso ayuda que el tono del cabello, a pesar de ser negro pueda tener contrastes.

Finally I focused on the face, which is the most important part, since the lights and shadows must be handled well to give it volume and thus preserve realism, adding a personal touch.

Finalmente me concentré en el rostro, que es la parte más importante, ya que se debe manejar bien las luces y sombra para darle volumen y así pueda conservar el realismo, agregandole un toque personal.

What did you think? Over the years, Pablo Escobar became a kind of legend and popular icon, so much so that series and movies have already been made of him. The truth is that I sometimes don't understand this behavior of people, but I suppose it's about the fact that he was a man. that for better or worse, left its mark on history, although I think that its victims do not think the same. Apart from the rest, I really liked doing this assignment, my confidence in my own abilities is growing more and more and people are beginning to appreciate my work, and my desire is to continue improving to continue moving forward. Qué les ha parecido? Pablo Escobar con los años se convirtió en una especie de leyenda y de ícono popular, tanto que ya le han hecho series y películas, la verdad que no entiendo a veces este proceder de las personas, pero supongo que se trata de que fue un hombre que por bien o mal, dejó su marca en la historia, aunque pienso que sus víctimas no opinan lo mismo. Fuera de lo demás, me gustó mucho hacer este encargo, cada vez más crece mi confianza en mis propias habilidades y las personas están comenzando a apreciar mi trabajo, y mi deseo es seguir mejorando para continuar adelante.
