Hello friends of Hive and my dear Hive open Mic community, I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog; for today Friday I bring you a great song from one of the most important Rock bands in Venezuela, I'm talking about "La Vida Bohéme".

This group has won several Grammy awards, their music has been recognized throughout Latin America and worldwide they are known for the song that I am going to interpret which is called "El Buen Salvaje" (The Good Savage), belonging to their 1st studio album called "Nuestra" (Our) released in 2010. This song is part of the soundtrack of the soccer video game FIFA 12 and currently they already have another of their songs in FIFA 21.

This band was the winner of the famous Venezuelan Festival Nuevas Bandas in 2008, a festival that was held every year in Venezuela and that supported the national talent, but that for political-social reasons had to stop a few years ago.

La Vida Bohéme was, without fear of being wrong, one of the first famous Venezuelan bands that had the courage to use their music to express their disagreement with what was happening in Venezuela during the year of the release of "Nuestra", so much so that the dictatorship attacked them for a while and tried to censor them everywhere. The band had to leave Venezuela because they were not allowed to perform in the country and also the economic conditions did not allow any band to emerge as professional artists.

Being a protest band, I want to highlight them this week with pride, because their music cost them part of their freedom of expression, and I really identify with them because I had to leave my country precisely for having "Different Thoughts" and "El Buen Salvaje" takes you to that world of protest marches that were lived during that time, but from a lyric based on a love and seduction story a little ambiguous and out of the ordinary.

Hola amigos de Hive y de mi querida comunidad Hive open Mic, soy Fernando Benedetti de @fernanblog; para hoy viernes les traigo una gran canción de una de las bandas de Rock más importantes que tiene Venezuela, les hablo de “La Vida Bohéme”.

Esta agrupación ha sido ganadora de varios premios Grammy, su música ha sido reconocida en toda Latinoamérica y a nivel mundial son conocidos por la canción que les voy a interpretar que se llama “El Buen Salvaje” (The Good Savage), perteneciente a su 1er álbum de estudio llamado “Nuestra” (Our) lanzado en el año 2010. Esta canción forma parte del soundtrack del video juego de futbol FIFA 12 y actualmente ya tienen otra de sus canciones en FIFA 21.

Esta banda fue ganadora del famoso Festival Nuevas Bandas del año 2008, festival que se celebraba cada año en Venezuela y que apoyaba al talento nacional, pero que por razones de tipo político-social tuvo que dejar de hacerse desde hace unos años.

La Vida Bohéme fue, sin temor a equivocarme, una de las primeras bandas famosas venezolanas que tuvo el coraje de usar su música para expresar su desacuerdo con lo que acontecía en Venezuela durante el año del lanzamiento de “Nuestra”, tanto así que la dictadura les atacó por un tiempo y trato de censurarlos en todos lados. La banda tuvo que salir de Venezuela ya que no les permitían presentarse en el país y además las condiciones económicas no permitían a ninguna banda poder surgir como artistas profesionales.

Al ser una banda de protesta, quiero resaltarla esta semana con mucho orgullo, debido a que su música le costó parte de su libertad de expresión, y realmente me identifico con ellos porque justamente por tener “Pensamientos Diferentes” es que tuve que salir de mi país y “El Buen Salvaje” te lleva a ese mundo de marchas de protestas que se vivieron durante esa época, pero desde una letra basada en una historia de amor y seducción un poco ambigua y fuera de lo común.

Teniendo esto claro aquí les dejo mi presentación para el Hive Open Mic semana 87, espero que la disfruten. Muchas gracias por el apoyo que me brindan semanalmente, ese es parte del motor que me mantiene a seguirles trayendo contenido de entretenimiento y con la mejor calidad posible…
