Comprobado está que los vídeos son el medio por excelencia para comunicar mensajes. El poder de la imagen con sonido fue descubierto hace mucho tiempo ya, pero quien aprendió mejor a usarlo para conseguir manejar masas fue el recordado presidente John F. Kennedy. Desde el estudio sobre como usaba el medio para hacer llegar el mensaje mucho se ha escrito, pero es indudable que lo sabía hacer con una maestría incontestable, tanto así, que fue visto como un enemigo de los intereses del status quo y terminó asesinado.

It has been proven that videos are the best way to communicate messages. The power of image with sound was discovered a long time ago, but the one who learned best how to use it to manage masses was the remembered President John F. Kennedy. From the study of how he used the medium to get the message across, much has been written, but it is unquestionable that he knew how to do it with unquestionable mastery, so much so, that he was seen as an enemy of the interests of the status quo and ended up assassinated.

Sin excusas sobre por qué no había hecho un episodio que tratara la edición de vídeos, hoy, finalmente, presentamos la manera como nosotros lo hacemos. Antes usaba Dtube, pero dejé de subir vídeos allí por la falta de apoyo. Hoy día uso @threespeak como lugar para gestionar los contenidos en vídeo y en el programa hablo sobre el procedimiento que uso. Antes quiero dejar claro que es solo una guía para quienes comienzan, hay mucho mejores hacedores de contenido en vídeo, si partimos del punto de la edición. En mi caso, el mensaje es quien viaja por encima de lo estético.

With no excuses as to why I hadn't done an episode that dealt with video editing, today, finally, we present the way we do it. I used to use Dtube, but I stopped uploading videos there because of the lack of support. Today I use @threespeak as a place to manage video content and in the program I talk about the procedure I use. Before I want to make clear that it is only a guide for those who are starting, there are much better video content makers, if we start from the point of editing. In my case, the message is the one that travels above the aesthetic.

No estoy seguro de cuanto tiempo dure ésta etapa de hacedor de vídeos, es mucho trabajo el que se hace tras bastidores. Y cuando agrego subtítulos, el trabajo es mucho mayor. Por ello tengo que escoger: hago vídeo cortos con subtítulos o hago vídeos largos de enseñanza pero sin subtítulos. Hasta ahora mi audiencia a escogido lo segundo y por ello estoy muy agradecido.

I'm not sure how long this stage of video making will last, it's a lot of work being done behind the scenes. And when I add subtitles, the work is much greater. So I have to choose: I make short videos with subtitles or I make long teaching videos but without subtitles. So far my audience has chosen the latter and for that I am very grateful.
