Religion is a way of worshiping God or a deity, or serving God.

The Bible teaches us of true worship or the true religion. The true religion is thought in the church of God in the Bible. All the teachings of how to live our lives are in the Bible.

John 4:23-24 KJV
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The true religion is to worship God in spirit and in truth

Romans 1:23,25 KJV
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

We must worship the creator and not creators.
