Lessons from the mass inductrination day 3 held on the 16th March 2022 via zoom

It was a great time listening to great teaching from bro Eli. A lot of lessons were learnt and I just want to share few from the lessons.

Some of the important points learned from the words of God discussed in the Zoom meeting are:

• The Bible should be the standard of our learning.
• It is our obligation to found out what is good and what is evil. If we don't do this, there is no way we will know what is good and what is evil so we can cleave to what is good.
• Calling upon God or praying is one of the doctrines of God.
• Praying is a commandment of Christ.
• God does not hear sinners. If the person praying is evil, God does not listen.
• If the person praying is righteous, God is delighted. If the person is a sinner, his or her prayer is an abomination.
• We should avoid using vain repetitions when we pray.
• God is not deaf for us to keep repeating our prayers.
• One way in which a prayer will be acceptable to God is for it to be done without show off. It is prohibited to show off while praying.
• When we pray, we should forgive others.
• When we pray, we should kneel before God.
• It is lack of respect for God if a man pray with his head covered.
• Men should uncover their head while women should cover their head when praying.

My former beliefs or expectation that was improved for listening at the Zoom meeting

From the Zoom meeting, I got to understand that the Bible should be our standard and we have to campare with the word of God which is the Bible first. To know the truth, we need to first confirm from the Bible.

Ways in which the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives

From the study, we look at the way to pray. We understood that prayer is a commandment and when we pray, we should not use vain repetition. We also need to humble ourselves before God when we pray and we should not do it for show off.
