Hello beautiful people @Hiveopenmic community, this is @fab-tay and i am glad to be here for this Hive Open Mic 212. As announced by the community recent spotlight artiste @albertocoachbl, the theme for this Hive Open Mic is "POWER" and i will be doing the cover of the song "POWER BELONGS TO YOU" by Chris Shalom.

Hola gente hermosa comunidad @Hiveopenmic, soy @fab-tay y estoy contento de estar aquí para este Hive Open Mic 212. Como lo anunció recientemente el artista destacado de la comunidad @albertocoachbl, el tema de este Hive Open Mic es "POWER" y Estaré haciendo la versión de la canción "POWER BELONGS TO YOU" de Chris Shalom.

Power means ability to do something or to make something happen. Power also means an energy, drive, effort, input to bring about a desire into reality. God is the ultimate source of power and He is all powerful because somethings are beyond the ability of we the mortals (human being). There comes a time in the life of we humans that we look up to a higher or superior being (God) for help as the need arises. By prayer and faith in God, we see His power working answers to our demands of Him.

Poder significa capacidad de hacer algo o de hacer que algo suceda. Poder también significa energía, impulso, esfuerzo, aportación para hacer realidad un deseo. Dios es la fuente suprema de poder y Él es todopoderoso porque algunas cosas están más allá de la capacidad de nosotros, los mortales (los seres humanos). Llega un momento en la vida de los humanos en el que buscamos ayuda de un ser superior o superior (Dios) cuando surge la necesidad. Mediante la oración y la fe en Dios, vemos su poder obrando respuestas a nuestras demandas de Él.

Power always flows from up to down i.e. from higher level to the lower level. Power also means strength and authority as there are indeed powerful people here on earth who has such power through positions, offices, exercise build-up etc. It is good to know that power puffs up if not tamed by the fear of God and the more reason why people in authority (leaders) needs to rule in the fear of God.

El poder siempre fluye de arriba hacia abajo, es decir, del nivel superior al nivel inferior. Poder también significa fuerza y ​​autoridad, ya que de hecho hay personas poderosas aquí en la tierra que tienen ese poder a través de puestos, cargos, ejercicios, etc. Es bueno saber que el poder se envanece si no se lo doma con el temor de Dios y, más aún, razón por la cual las personas con autoridad (líderes) necesitan gobernar en el temor de Dios.

I chose this song for this week because it aligns with the theme for this week and also, as a reminder that power belongs to God who is the omnipotent God i.e. the all powerful God. Also, this song is a reminder to all of us that power is transient for we humans but only God remains powerful forever. The famous powerful world leaders, continental leaders and national leaders in the past are no longer in existence, but what they did with power vested on them are still fresh on record.

Elegí esta canción para esta semana porque se alinea con el tema de esta semana y también como recordatorio de que el poder pertenece a Dios, quien es el Dios omnipotente, es decir, el Dios todopoderoso. Además, esta canción es un recordatorio para todos nosotros de que el poder es transitorio para los humanos, pero que sólo Dios permanece poderoso para siempre. Los famosos y poderosos líderes mundiales, continentales y nacionales del pasado ya no existen, pero lo que hicieron con el poder que se les había conferido todavía está fresco en los registros.

I did this cover involving both the vocal and keyboard 🎹 instrumentation. I love the vocal dexterity of both the lead singer and the back-up singers alongside the instrumentation.
