Últimamente, mi contenido ha estado girando en torno a la comida, el ruido incesante en construcciones no me deja mucha oportunidad para grabar, pero como siempre digo...lo que te gusta, te encuentra, por ende la música me atrapó este fin de semana y pude grabar una canción con mi amigo Fernando, estuvimos conversando sobre planes para el Ensamble Tramao y antes de volver a casa le pedí que me acompañara en alguna canción.

Estuvimos pensando qué grabar, pues a veces cuando te piden una canción te quedas en blanco, y le dije que podríamos intentar con Moliendo café, darle un estilo un tanto diferente y este fue el resultado final, grabamos en una toma luego de darle un corto repaso a la canción, me gustó mucho como sonó, al final fui improvisando un poco y me sentí bastante libre, es realmente gratificante cuando puedes ser libre gracias a la música.

Moliendo café es una canción que encuentro muy bonita, una de esas que se aprende en el cuatro venezolano, pero que así como ven suena excelente en la guitarra, su letra denota el dolor de la larga faena aunada a una pena de amor que lleva el zambo ¿tal vez un amor prohibido lo llena de amargura? Puede tener tantas lecturas la letra precisa y que encierra mucha historia de tiempos lejanos.

Lately, my content has been revolving around food, the incessant noise in constructions doesn't leave me much opportunity to record, but as I always say...what you like, finds you, therefore music caught me this weekend and I was able to record a song with my friend Fernando, we were talking about plans for Ensamble Tramao and before returning home I asked him to accompany me on a song.

We were thinking about what to record, because sometimes when you are asked for a song you get blank, and I told him that we could try with Moliendo café, give it a little different style and this was the final result, we recorded in one take after a short review of the song, I really liked how it sounded, at the end I was improvising a little and I felt quite free, it is really rewarding when you can be free thanks to the music.

Moliendo café is a song that I find very beautiful, one of those that you learn in the Venezuelan cuatro, but as you can see it sounds excellent on the guitar, its lyrics denote the pain of the long labor combined with a sorrow of love that the zambo carries, maybe a forbidden love fills him with bitterness? The precise lyrics can have so many readings and they enclose a lot of history of distant times.
