Simón Díaz, mejor conocido como el "Tío Simón" en Venezuela, fue un compositor, músico y cantante prodigioso. Además de cantar sus canciones (y las de otros) también las contaba, de modo que podemos saber cómo nacían las canciones. Yo creo en el poder de "contar" las canciones. pues de esa forma quien la escuché tiene una mirada más amplia sobre la canción.

Simón Díaz, better known as "Tío Simón" in Venezuela, was a prodigious composer, musician and singer. In addition to singing his songs (and those of others) he also told them, so that we can know how the songs were born. I believe in the power of "telling" songs, because that way the listener has a broader view of the song.

La Vaca Mariposa que también se llama "El Becerrito", nombre que muy pocos usan para referirse a esta canción, nos habla sobre el nacimiento del Niño Dios, muy pronto llegará la Navidad y con ella reviviremos la historia del Niño Dios. Una historia que nos recuerda que no todos los Reyes nacen en castillos de oro, que la humildad es un símbolo de grandeza cuando es genuina y sin reveses.

La Vaca Mariposa es una canción que me encanta y que sé tocar en el cuatro, aunque a veces olvide el orden de los acordes jajaja, me gusta su cadencia. Es un merengue venezolano que es mi género musical venezolano favorito. Así que aproveché la oportunidad para cantarlo junto a @geadriana y aunque por ahí me equivoqué en una nota (jaja) y quedé lejos de la captura de audio me encantó poder cantarla y en un lugar lleno de verdor como la Fundación La Tortuga.

La Vaca Mariposa is a song that I love and that I know how to play on the cuatro, although sometimes I forget the order of the chords hahaha, I like its cadence. It is a Venezuelan merengue which is my favorite Venezuelan musical genre. So I took the opportunity to sing it with @geadriana and even though I missed a note (haha) and I was far from the audio capture I loved singing it and in a place full of greenery like La Tortuga Foundation.

Dense cuenta en la canción quienes son los tres reyes magos que le trajeron oro, incienso y mirra de regalos al niño; estos son en mi canción la sábana que le ofrece reverdecer, los arroyitos todos que le llevan flores al amanecer y los pericos y el gavilán también, que le llevan frutas criollas al caney. Que hermosa forma de llevar una historia a la sábana venezolana, amo la música y siento un profundo respeto antes cada interpretación, más aún si se trata de la música de mi país. El corazón se me pone tan grandote que siento que se me sale del pecho y se pone a volar como una mariposa.
