The song that I present to you today has been considered, on repeated occasions, one of the most important in music in the Spanish language, it has also been described a deeply human and universal work whose purpose is to celebrate life. It is "Thans to life" and it was composed by the Chilean singer-songwriter Violeta Parra Sandoval (1917 - 1967). Many believe that this song represents an epitaph that Violeta Parra herself wrote for herself, as a kind of farewell. Some say that it is a hymn to human existence and its many nuances. And, others believe that, in reality, it is a sad longing for life, as if the author herself, already in life, had ceased to exist, since she ended her life by committing suicide. This song shows the repeated use of the rhetorical figure of literary construction known as Anaphora, which is nothing more than the repetition of one or more words at the beginning of a series of verses or sentences. In this first part I leave you the Original Version sung by the author herself.

La canción que hoy les presento, ha sido considerada, en reiteradas oportunidades, una de las más importantes de la música en idioma español, también ha sido calificada una obra profundamente humana y universal que tiene como propósito celebrar la vida. Se trata de "Gracias a la vida" y fue compuesta por la cantautora chilena Violeta Parra Sandoval (1917 - 1967). Muchos creen que esta canción representa un epitafio que la propia Violeta Parra escribiera para sí, como una especie de despedida. Unos dicen que es un canto a la existencia humana y sus múltiples matices. Y, otros creen que, en realidad, es una triste añoranza a la vida, como si la propia autora, ya en vida, hubiera dejado de existir, pues ella terminó suicidándose. En esta canción se evidencia el uso reiterado de la figura retórica de construcción literaria que se conoce como Anáfora, que no es mas que la repetición de una o varias palabras al principio de una serie de versos u oraciones.
