How to Test Shrinkage of Textile Fabric

Shrinkage is very important properties of textile materials especially for the knit fabric that needs to be tested with shrinkage testing. After washing the fabric shrinks. This is a problem for the dimensional stability of the fabric. So, we need to consider the shrinkage level of the fabric and we must maintain it at a tolerable level. For knit fabric like sports garments it is very common problem and if shrinkage is high then the fabric dimension is not stable that's why it is not good looking to wear. And the consumer doesn’t want to wear that fabric or garments. So here in this tutorial I have explained what is shrinkage and how to test shrinkage and what are the factors behind the shrinkage and how to minimise and control the shrinkage of the fabric.
