A little background for the song I made

The song I made was a freestyle, why was it a freestyle, I couldn’t come up with a good enough song to cover (or write) for the week. So I thought long and hard for a song and found nothing. White Christmas came to my mind for a while but I don’t know the lyrics past “just like the ones I use to know” and it kind of makes it impossible to sing.

So I did this freestyle about the reality that we do not have any winter in Nigeria, what we have instead is HAMATTAN and it is very different from Winter (which I did my best to highlight in this song).

One of the main differences is the dust, in fact, for all the snow that appears in winter, there is a lot more dust to go around in Nigeria. The dust comes from the Sahara desert and blows down here, at least that’s what I heard.

In the lyrics of this song are my thoughts as I played the guitar. The only preconceived part was, “there’s dust in the air, there’s dust everywhere, there’s dust on your yard and there’s dust on your car”
