And as I mentioned before - we are pretty surprised how smoothly it's going. hahaha
We're of course waiting for the disruptions and the quick fixes and the sleepless nights trying to figure out WHY something isn't going the way we planned. But so far - we are about to embark on Day 3 and it's feeling nice nice nice.
Instead of having the testers jump into the site, we had them test the concept first. I was explaining to @zellypearl today - WHY this was really great (even though it's a crap ton of manual work hahaha)
Remember when you were learning math operations, and you had to CEMENT those concepts in your head? Your teacher did NOT allow you to use your calculator. As a matter of fact, if they SAW you sneaking to use one on the test - you were in big trouble! They wanted you to make sure that UNDERSTOOD THE PROCESS. What if you relied on a calculator too early? And then - in a crisis, you didn't HAVE one. You wouldn't be able to work it out on your own with pencil and paper.
However - when you graduated into the higher math classes, you were FULLY AWARE of bow to calculate the lower processes, and in order to save time - the teacher allowed all the students to use our calculators to be more efficient.
Pilots can put a plane on auto-pilot and relax for a bit, but if trouble comes - they know how to switch to manual to land the plane. Because they took the time to study the ins and outs of the process.
Testers, staff, admin, core - we are learning the ins and outs of the process of our project so that when the testers are unleashed onto the site - they will be pros and understand behind the scenes! ๐
One of the coolest things about this project is that it was designed to support other platforms. I love that. I've always loved synergy. One of my favorite things to say is "It's gotta be a win/win/win/win in order to thrill me. At least 4 wins!"
We are in a world where lots of people in power ONLY feel good when THEY are winning and everyone else is losing. I didn't want that for our project, and I didn't want it for the platforms we would support.
Below is the next video of the "behind the scenes" journey to this launch and beyond. We aren't really shouting this launch from the rooftops. We're just putting out there quietly, slowly, steadily. Everyone knows I'm an Energizer Bunny. But I'm personally testing out what it feels like to be a little more Energizer Turtle.
I do not think I could ever really slow down that much, so... I'll be the first hybrid Buntle. lolol
If you care to watch the next "episode" - feel free to watch and join me "livin' the drEEm" ๐
