    Intro -
    Un pueblo noble
    Y creyente fe reclama
    Y entristece la penumbra
    En su dolor
Casi se esconde de su sol
    Como apenado por el olvido
En que se encuentra su región

    Coro:
    Tierra inmolada
    Maracaibo señorial
    Aún deberás continuar
    Sacrificada
    Maracaibo tierra mía
    Idolatrada
    Y olvidada por ser leal
    Maracaibo marginada
    Y sin un real
    Que más te puede pasar
Que ya no te haya pasado

    Verso I -
    Siendo la gran capital
    De un estado prominente
    Sufre religiosamente
    Del olvido nacional

    Verso II -
    Siendo rica y colosal
    Tu pobreza es elocuente
    Porque tu riqueza es fuente
    Para el progreso local

    ENG:

    Warm musical greetings.

Music has always served for many manifestations, of love, anger, joy, sadness, hope and many other feelings, it has also served to be mistreated.

But there is a form that has served to transcend in time and it is to manifest freedom, to raise the voice and fight against oppression, in fact, the national anthems of each country reflect that form of expression of the people and have been captured in a score forever and ever.

Many singers and musicians who have dared to use music to express divergences and opposition to governments in certain countries have been persecuted and have died in strange circumstances, such as in traffic accidents, plane crashes or have been murdered, for example in my country Venezuela, Alí Primera and in this opportunity the author of the song that I present to you today, El Monumental Ricardo Aguirre.

School teacher, broadcaster and singer born in Maracaibo, Zulia state, who composed the legendary Grey Zuliana and several protest songs because he saw how at that time the rulers did not do their job well and engaged in acts of corruption, which does not escape the reality we live in today, not only in Maracaibo but throughout Venezuela. But in order not to get into political depths that are not worth the trouble, I will let the music do the talking for me.

I am only going to sing two verses of this transcendental song and as I said before, it applies to all of Venezuela.

But always keeping hope for a better future for all.
Ah! I decided to sing it, I hope you like it.

    Intro -
    A noble people
    And believing faith claims
    And sadden the gloom
    In their sorrow
    Almost hides from its sun
As if grieved by the oblivion
    In which his region lies

    Chorus:
    Immolated land
    Stately Maracaibo
You will still have to continue
    Sacrificed
    Maracaibo my land
    Idolised
    And forgotten for being loyal
    Maracaibo marginalized
    And without a real
What else can happen to you
That hasn't already happened to you

    Verse I -
    Being the great capital
    Of a prominent state
    It suffers religiously
    From national oblivion

    Verse II -
    Being rich and colossal
    Your poverty is eloquent
Because your wealth is a source
    For local progress
