    ENG:

    A cordial musical greeting.

For the 109th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Paper Kites" In my country (Venezuela) they call it Papagayo. This theme has been chosen by Spotlight artist @elisonr13, in reference to the freedom to imagine, create, feel and communicate freely.

When I was a child I liked to fly parrot, run to make it take flight, or be helped by my father smiling at it from meters away to raise it, we went very often to Tucacas, the coastal town of Falcon state and there we had a land where we could fly our parrot because there is a nice breeze. Once in flight, it was wonderful to feel the tension of the string (pabilo) in my hands and watch the parrot fly freely.
Once it was a little cloudy, and we flew the parrot so high that when we brought it down it was wet from the dew that had fallen on it.

This song that I present to you today is a composition of a good friend named Francisco Alejo, with whom I shared beautiful experiences in the group Venezuela Identidad Musical, a group that was dedicated to the diffusion and projection of Venezuelan music, directed by the sisters Lula (+) and Taluli Pereira, friends and companions of this group.

This instrumental version I bring you this week with my mandolin, I hope you like it.
