Hey buddies!
One of the most beautiful lyrics I've ever heard, one that makes you think a lot about equality. Some may turn up their noses, but in fact if they do, it's probably because they haven't fully understand the meaning of this magnificent poem about religion, criticizing and understanding it at the same time.
Lyrics Translation
You shall have no God but me,
often got me thinking:
different people from the East
They said it was the same after all.
They believed someone different from you.
and they didn't hurt me.
They believed someone other than you
and they didn't hurt me.
Do not take the name of God,
don't mention it in vain.
With a knife in the side
I cried out my pain and his name:
but perhaps he was tired, perhaps too busy,
and didn't listen to my pain.
But maybe he was tired, maybe too far away,
I really did name him in vain.
Honour the father, honour the mother
and he honors their stick too,
kiss the hand that broke your nose
because you were asking her for a bite to eat:
when my father's heart stopped
I felt no pain.
As for my father's heart stopped
I felt no pain.
Remember to sanctify the holidays.
Easy for us thieves
enter the temples that regurgitate psalms
of slaves and their masters
without ending up tied to the altars
slaughtered like animals.
Without ending up tied to the altars
slaughtered like animals.
The fifth says don't steal
and maybe I respected him
emptying, in silence, the already swollen pockets
than the ones they stole:
But I, without law, stole in my name,
those others in God's name.
But I, without law, stole in my name,
those others in God's name.
Do not commit acts that are not pure
that is, do not disperse the seed.
Fertilize a woman every time you love her.
so you'll be a man of faith:
Then the birthmark fades and the son remains.
and so many of them starve to death.
I, perhaps, confused pleasure and love:
but I have not created pain.
The seventh says don't kill
if by heaven you want to be worthy.
Look at it today, this law of God,
three times nailed in wood:
Look at the end of that Nazzarene.
and one thief dies no less.
Look at the end of that Nazzarene.
and one thief dies no less.
Don't say perjury
and help them kill a man.
They know God's right by heart,
and they always forget forgiveness:
I perjured myself on God and my honor.
and no, I don't feel any pain.
I perjured myself on God and my honor.
and no, I don't feel any pain.
Don't covet other people's stuff
do not covet the bride.
Tell those, ask the few.
that they have a woman and something:
in the beds of others already warm with love
I felt no pain.
Yesterday's envy isn't over yet:
Tonight I envy your life.
But now that evening and darkness come.
it takes the pain out of my eyes
and the sun slips across the dunes
raping other nights:
me watching this man die,
mother, I feel pain.
In pity that does not yield to resentment,
Mother, I learned love.
Ciao Amici!
TESTO
Non avrai altro Dio all'infuori di me,
senza finire legati agli altari
sgozzati come animali.
Senza finire legati agli altari
sgozzati come animali.
Il quinto dice non devi rubare
e forse io l'ho rispettato
e no, non ne provo dolore.
Ho spergiurato su Dio e sul mio onore
e no, non ne provo dolore.
a violentare altre notti:
io nel vedere quest'uomo che muore,
madre, io provo dolore.
Nella pietà che non cede al rancore,
madre, ho imparato l'amore
