La mayoría de las canciones de la ciudad donde nací tienen una connotación bastante regionalista y creo que en parte esto se debe no solo a la belleza y riquezas que sus paisajes nos pueden ofrecer, sino también en buena parte al orgullo que las personas de mi ciudad sienten de ser parte de un sitio tan hermoso. Por ello muchas de las melodías compuestas por varios autores que habitan en la región del Zulia en mi natal Venezuela cantan con hermosos versos llenos de poesía a la belleza natural que Maracaibo tiene y que últimamente se esta perdiendo debido a la contaminación y ni que decir de la patética gobernabilidad que nuestro país sufre.

Most of the songs of the city where I was born have a regionalist connotation and I think this is partly due not only to the beauty and richness that its landscapes can offer us, but also in large part to the pride that the people of my city feel to be part of such a beautiful place. That is why many of the melodies composed by several authors who live in the region of Zulia in my native Venezuela sing with beautiful verses full of poetry to the natural beauty that Maracaibo has and that lately is being lost due to pollution and not to mention the pathetic governance that our country suffers.

Aun y con todos estos contras el Zulia no ha dejado de tener sus hermosas noches de relámpagos silenciosos que el Catatumbo ofrece durante las noches más oscuras, ni la inmensa majestuosidad del lago de Maracaibo y por supuesto su gente que a pesar de todas sus dificultades sigue adelante con sus proyectos de vida de la mejor manera posible. A ellos y a mi hermosa ciudad va dedicada esta pieza tan linda que me trae muchísimos recuerdos de mi ciudad natal.

Even with all these cons Zulia has not ceased to have its beautiful nights of silent lightning that Catatumbo offers during the darkest nights, nor the immense majesty of Lake Maracaibo and of course its people who despite all their difficulties go ahead with their life projects in the best possible way. To them and to my beautiful city is dedicated this beautiful piece that brings back so many memories of my hometown.
