Esta canción para mi tiene una anecdota que me abrió las puertas a una nueva vida cuando llegue a Colombia viviendo en la ciudad de Santa Marta.

This song for me has an anecdote that opened the doors to a new life when I arrived in Colombia living in the city of Santa Marta.

Al llegar a Colombia estaba super nervioso debido a que estaba en otro país con una cultura un poco diferente al del mio y ademas de eso la presencia de los extranjeros me intimidaba un poco por el solo hecho de que creía no saber comunicarme con ellos en su idioma, pero un día, me encontré a una familia de Ingleses que venían a pasar vacaciones en la ciudad donde estaba en ese momento que era la hermosa ciudad de Santa Marta y luego de tocar junto con unos amigos nos pidieron otra canción en su idioma y les comprendí perfectamente y cuando les pregunte en su idioma cual me dijeron que la dejaban a mi parecer y fue en eso que esta canción vino a mi mente y pude conectarme de una manera bastante genuina con ellos luego compartiendo una charla en ingles. Por ello siempre esta canción esta en mi repertorio, debido a que me abrió las puertas a un mundo nuevo en el cual poco a poco fui soltando el miedo a ser rechazado.

When I arrived in Colombia I was super nervous because I was in another country with a culture a little different from mine and besides that the presence of foreigners intimidated me a little by the mere fact that I thought I did not know how to communicate with them in their language, but one day, I met a family of English people who came to spend vacations in the city where I was at that time which was the beautiful city of Santa Marta and after playing together with some friends they asked us for another song in their language and I understood them perfectly and when I asked them in their language they told me that they left it up to me and it was then that this song came to my mind and I could connect in a quite genuine way with them after sharing a chat in English. That is why this song is always in my repertoire, because it opened the doors to a new world in which little by little I was letting go of the fear of being rejected.
