REVIEW: iPad mini 2 [ENG | ESP]

Hoy les traigo una pequeña review de la iPad Mini 2, la cuál compré hace apenas unos días y estaba muy emocionada por traerla al blog (me tardé por falta de tiempo para editar el video). Pero aquí está.

Éste no es precisamente un iPad de última generación, realmente salió al mercado en el año 2013, hace casi 10 años. Y aunque podría pensarse que es un dispositivo realmente obsoleto, lo cierto es que a día de hoy sigue siendo bastante funcional y útil.

Today I bring you a little review of the iPad Mini 2, which I bought just a few days ago and I was very excited to bring it to the blog (I was late due to lack of time to edit the video). But here it is.

This isn't exactly a last generation iPad, it actually came out in 2013, almost 10 years ago. And although you might think it's a really obsolete device, the truth is that today it is still quite functional and useful.

El sistema de éstas iPad sigue siendo el iOs y ésta ya se quedó en la 12.5.5 (muy atrás de hecho). Sin embargo, si puedo continuar descargando aplicaciones, especialmente si ya las tenía instaladas en mi iPhone. Así que no tuve problema en instalar las aplicaciones que necesito para poder usar ésta con comodidad.

Hice la compra mediante marketplace de Facebook (cómo casi todo lo que compro realmente). Primero realicé todas las medidas de seguridad necesarias para asegurarme de que no me estén dando un dispositivo bloqueado, así como también me aseguré de que estuviese en perfecto estado. Realmente me salió bastante económica, sólo me entregaron el iPad con su cargador.

The system on these iPads is still iOs and this one is already down to 12.5.5 (way behind in fact). However, if I can continue to download applications, especially if I already had them installed on my iPhone. So I had no problem installing the apps I need to be able to use this one comfortably.

I made the purchase through Facebook marketplace (like almost everything I buy really). First I did all the necessary security measures to make sure I was not getting a locked device, as well as making sure it was in perfect condition. It was actually pretty inexpensive, they just gave me the iPad with its charger.

Realmente la compré para poder tomar apuntes ya que me estaba gastando mucho dinero en comprar constantemente libretas porque las gasto muy rápido. Es por ello que no estaba buscando algo tan actual que me terminase costando una barbaridad, porque realmente no le iba a dar el uso que se merecía un dispositivo más caro.

Al día siguiente compré el lápiz óptico, una mica que fuese mate y un case que tuviese para poner el lápiz. Me dediqué todo ese día a transcribir apuntes importantes y mis conclusiones son bastante positivas realmente.

Pensé que iba a traerme guerra en cierta forma por ser un dispositivo de hace tantísimos años, pero lo cierto es que no. La batería duró prácticamente todo el día, no hubo lentitud en ningún momento a la hora de usarla lo cuál lo convirtió en una actividad agradable. El lápiz óptico también funcionó perfectamente, supongo que así se sentirá usar el apple pencil, que por cierto, no es compatible con ésta iPad.

I really bought it to be able to take notes as I was spending a lot of money on constantly buying notebooks because I was spending them so fast. That's why I wasn't looking for something so trendy that it would end up costing me a bundle, because I wasn't really going to give it the use that a more expensive device deserved.

The next day I bought the stylus, a matte lens and a case to put the stylus in. I spent the whole day transcribing important notes and my conclusions are quite positive really.

I thought it was going to bring me war in some way for being a device of so many years ago, but the truth is that no. The battery lasted practically all day. The battery lasted practically all day, there was no sluggishness at any time when using it which made it a pleasant activity. The stylus also worked perfectly, I guess that's how it will feel to use the apple pencil, which by the way, is not compatible with this iPad.

La aplicación que estoy utilizando para tomar apuntes es GoodNotes 5 y, debo decir que me gusta muchísimo, es bastante intuitiva y estéticamente agradable. Además el resto de aplicaciones que le instalé funcionan todas perfectamente (incluyendo los juegos).

Honestamente si les recomendaría adquirir una si van a usarla para el mismo propósito que yo, es decir, para estudio y cosas básicas como ver películas, vídeos, juegas un poco. Ahora, si su intención es ir por un dispositivo para demandarle un poco más como lo es editar videos, usar procreate o instalarle juegos más actuales y que demanden más del dispositivo en sí, ésta no es su opción. Preferiblemente compren uno que aún esté actualizando de manera constante su software o, que ya tenga el sistema iPadOS y no iOs.

Estoy contenta con mi compra, ahora si puedo tomar apuntes hasta decir basta. 🤣

The application I am using to take notes is GoodNotes 5 and, I must say that I like it very much, it is quite intuitive and aesthetically pleasing. Also the rest of the apps I installed on it all work perfectly (including the games).

Honestly I would recommend you to buy one if you are going to use it for the same purpose as me, that is, for study and basic things like watching movies, videos, play a little. Now, if your intention is to go for a device to demand a little more like editing videos, using procreate or installing more current games that demand more from the device itself, this is not your option. Preferably buy one that is still constantly updating its software or, that already has the iPadOS system and not iOs.

I am happy with my purchase, now if I can take notes to say the least. 🤣
