Top DeFi Projects Marketcap Bar Chart Race Animation | The race for the top

The DeFi projects are absolutely on fire in the last few months. Almost 10B locked in DeFi protocols now and it keeps growing each month.

Not to mention Uniswap and the new DeFi coins listed there daily 😊.

Obviously, a lot of capital has entered this space.

Here we will take a look at the top DeFi projects and their evolution in the last 50 days.

I have made a few bar chart race animations before, and usually the period is few years or at least couple of months.

The DeFi space has grown so fast that there is projects literally few weeks old with hundreds of millions marketcap. Sushis for example is just a week around and its already more than a 100M marketcap.

Here we will be looking into the following DeFi coins:

• LEND
• YFI
• COMP
• SNX
• MKR
• CURVE
• BAL
• KNC
• YAM
• LRC
• SUSHI

Note that these don’t represent the whole DeFi industry but are some of the top coins in the industry.

Having a look at the top DeFi coins and how there marketcap evolved over time can give us some nice perspective of the crypto industry.

The period that we will be looking here is July 16th till September 3th 2020.

Some of the older projects like MakerDAO and Compound/LAND on the top at the start, but we have seen an explosive growth to some others, especially YFI that is in a close fight for the no.1 spot now. Also SNX is showing serious growth. Sushi just a few weeks old, has reached amazing marketcap in hundreds of millions.
