57% APR for the CTPSB token

It has been an amazing week for the CTPSB project. We received a lot of new delegations to the project which allowed us to have a total of more than 45'000 Hive Power to upvote your posts.

Thanks to these delegations, the token value that is backed by the hive power of the @ctpsb account has increased to 1.124%. Since the token was emitted on 1st of October 2020, the value of the token has increased by 10.5% which represents an APR of 57.3%.

Why can the CTPSB token generate such an APR?

The CTPSB token is backed by the Hive Power of the @ctpsb account. This account grows thanks to curation and author rewards. There are 10187 Hive Power owned by the account and another 35'000 Hive Power are delegated to it. These delegation actually leverage the return of the account and this allows the token to grow in value at such a rate.

The delegators of the account are paid dividends in CTP tokens and the return for delegation is somewhere around 13% APR.

1448 CTP tokens dividends paid this week

The number of CTP tokens that were paid as dividends increased from 1373 last week to 1448 this week. Since the delegations increased more than the dividends, the return is slightly lower than last week. We are still at 13.2% APR which is quite interesting I believe.

50% of all tokens earned through curation rewards are staked and therefore the dividends will increase over time.
