D'arcy Elizabeth Wretzky-Brown, fue la bajista que estuvo los primeros 12 años de carrera de la banda “The Smashing Pumpkins” tras ser descubierta por Billy Corgan y James Iha, quienes estaban en un bar de la ciudad y se encontraba Elizabeth tocando con una banda local. Luego de varias conversaciones, acepta y se convierte en la bajista de la banda. Tras culminar la grabación de MACHINA/The Machines of God y antes de la respectiva gira, decide separarse de la banda luego de haber estado en ella por unos doce años, esto fue un duro golpe para la banda, pero al final se dio la separación. Han sido varias las oportunidades en donde se le ha propuesto volver a la banda pero ha sido infructífero. Además, Elizabeth ha tenido una vida manchada por muchos hechos lamentables que la han llevado a la cárcel, aun así está bajista marco una era en The Smashing Pumpkins.
