Timothy Robert Commerford, renowned bassist of the band Rage Against the Machine, is the less than five brothers who from a young age ventured into the world of music with electric bass. Tim meets Zack de la Rocha, when they were barely at school and after a few years he convinces him to play bass, that's where he creates this passion for this wonderful instrument.

When Tim is embarrassed, his mother died of brain cancer when he was twenty, leaving him with a great emptiness that he could alleviate a little by taking refuge in music and poetry. When Zack and Tom Morello decide to create a band they call Tim to be their bass player and with Brad Wilk as drummer they complete this incredible quartet called "Rage Against the Machine". Since then Tim has participated as a bass player in many recordings and concerts. Also it comprised of the extinct band "Audioslave" after the suicide of the vocalist.

"Killing in the name" is the theme chosen today to show the versatility in the execution of the electric bass and the creation of this bass line, which personally is one of my favorites. Tim has always used the two-finger technique, and it's amazing how fast it can go at times making this a challenge for any bassist to manage to play his bass lines.

Tim, conoce a Zack de la Rocha, cuando apenas estaban en la escuela y al cabo de unos años lo convence de tocar el bajo, es ahí donde crea esta pasión por este maravilloso instrumento. Cuando apena Tim, tenía veinte años fallece su madre de cáncer de cerebro, quedando con un gran vacío que pudo aliviar un poco refugiándose en la música y la poesía. Cuando Zack y Tom Morello, deciden crear una banda llaman a Tim para que sea su bajista y con Brad Wilk como baterista completan este increíble cuarteto llamado “Rage Against the Machine”. Desde entonces Tim ha participado como bajista en muchas grabaciones y conciertos. También formó parte de la extinta banda “Audioslave” luego del suicidio del vocalista.

“killing in the name” es el tema elegido el día de hoy para mostrar la versatilidad en la ejecución del bajo eléctrico y la creación de esta línea de bajo, que en lo personal, es una de mis favoritas. Tim, siempre ha utilizado la técnica de los dos dedos, y es increíble la velocidad que a veces puede llegar haciendo esto un reto para cualquier bajista lograr tocar sus líneas de bajo.
