Hello, my dear Hivers. In 1987 great events occurred, including the birth of the Grunge band that would change the concept of rock to a more rebellious and youthful style. "Nirvana" is created in Washington, by the singer and guitarist "Kurt Cobain" and "Krist Novoselic" who would become the bassist of this band. There were many reasons why this band is considered an icon of the youth that at that time listened to their powerful music, full of rebellion and an immense amount of style,

in those days they were an example to follow. They had a fairly rapid rise, becoming from the late 80's to the early 90's, one of the most popular bands on radio in the United States and that quickly they were also conquering other borders. One of the curiosities of this band is that they went through six drummers until they found the iconic and future leader of the "Foo Fighters" David Grohl, who gave more power to the sound of Nirvana. In its short musical life, this band had three studio albums and three live albums, one of them its presentation on Mtv Unplugged, which was one of the most listened to and disseminated at the time. Despite the success of this band, its path culminated in 1994 with the unexpected death of Kurt.

Qué tal, mis estimados Hivers. En el año 1987 ocurrieron grandes sucesos, entre ellos el nacimiento de la banda de Grunge que cambiaría el concepto de rock a un estilo más rebelde y juvenil. “Nirvana” es creada en Washington, por el cantante y guitarrista “Kurt Cobain” y “Krist Novoselic” quien se convertiría en el bajista de esta banda. Muchas fueron las razones por las cuales es considerada esta banda como un ícono de la juventud que para aquel entonces escuchaba su poderosa música, llena de rebeldía y una cantidad inmensa de estilo, por aquellos tiempos eran un ejemplo a seguir. Tuvieron un ascenso bastante rápido, convirtiéndose desde finales de los 80´s a principio de los 90´s, en una de las bandas más sonadas en las radios de los estados unidos y así de rápido fueron también conquistando otras fronteras. Una de las curiosidades de esta banda es que pasaron por seis bateristas hasta dar con el icónico y futuro líder de los “Foo Fighters” David Grohl, quien le dio más potencia al sonido de Nirvana. En su corta vida musical, esta banda contó con tres álbumes de estudio y tres álbumes en directo uno de ellos su presentación en el Mtv Unplugged el cual fue uno de los más escuchados y difundidos en la época. A pesar del éxito de esta banda culmina su camino en el año 1994 con la inesperada muerte de Kurt.

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" is definitely the most popular and iconic theme song of this incredible band, which despite being shaken by the tragic death of its leader Kurt Cobain is still being heard with the same intensity as in the golden age . Unfortunately we will not know what would have happened to this band over the years, surely in our current time, it would be part of the most legendary bands in history that until this date were filling stages, but unfortunately the story was different.

“Smells Like Teen Spirit” es en definitiva el tema musical más sonado e icónico de esta increíble banda, que a pesar de haber sido sacudida por la trágica muerte de su líder Kurt Cobain aún sigue escuchándose con la misma intensidad como en la época de oro. Lamentablemente no sabremos que habría sido de esta banda con el pasar de los años, seguramente en esta nuestra época actual, formaría parte de las bandas más legendarias de la historia que hasta esta fecha estuvieran llenando escenarios, pero lamentablemente la historia fue otra.
