Hey Folks
The video above is a little tour of Pickering Castle in North Yorkshire England.
These shots were taken while walking around the town of Pickering.
Pickering is one of the main stations on the North Yorkshire Moors railway. The railway runs a steam train from the station in town to the neighbouring seaside town of Whitby.
The town is home to some old historic buildings..
I wish we had been there to see a Midsummer Nights Dream playing in the Castle ,that would have been pretty magical.
The Hidden Market had some very unique items for sale which made for some interesting photo opportunities'.
Where else can you buy a giant Viking clock?
Old Coca -Cola memorabilia
Beer barrell barstools...
And all manner of colourful treasures and trinkets...
Lets head to the Castle...
These ruins are what remain of a 13th century hunting lodge that was popular with Royal hunting parties.
This little building was once a Chapel...
The wishing well is kinda spooky, I cant help think of the Ring movie....
Heading up the stairs we can get a better view of the area.
This is the view at the highest point in the centre of the Castle.
I managed to get some good shots from up here...
I wonder what's on the otherside of this creepy door?
Lets go check out this tower before heading out of the Castle.
It looks like many visitors have left their mark over the years...
It seems even one of the Popes was here...
As I was leaving the Castle was attacked by Dragons! :)
Time to cross the bridge...
Head out of the old wooden door.
And say goodbye to the castle while eating Ice cream from the gift shop :).
