Final Fantasy 1 - Pixel Remaster -The Stolen Crown, The Slumbering Prince, The Crystal Eye and The

Hey folks

Today I decided to jump back into Final Fantasy 1 -Pixel Remaster.

Were going to look at one of the main parts of the early games storyline which is waking a sleeping Elf Prince.

We start our adventure in the town of Elfhiem. Weve just returned from the marsh cave where we retrieved the stolen crown which needs to be returned to the king in the Western keep

To get to the Western Keep we leave Elfheim and head north to this castle

Inside we find the King alone in his ruined Castle.He sent us to the marsh cave to retrieve his crown which he said was stolen by the Dark Elf King

When we return the stolen crown we find out we have been tricked!This is Astos King of The Dark Elfs in disguise!

We have to fight Astos to retrieve the Crystal Eye which was stolen from a witch near the starting town of Cornelia.

This fight was pretty easy .Killing Astos gives us the Mythril Sword for our warrior and the crystal eye to return to the witch.

The Mythril Sword is a pretty big upgrade. If we cast haste and temper on our warrior he's going to be a wrecking machine with this weapon.

Time to leave the castle and head back to Elfheim

We need to fight our way through the dangerous Forests...Fira burns a whole pack of wolves.

Its always worth killing groups of Ogres, they drop alot of coin. This area is great for farming money from these guys.

Time to head into Elfheim and rest at the inn

Our adventures wake the next morning ready to sail back to Cornelia.

As soon as we jump in the boat we are attacked by a group of fishmen

The warriors Mytrhil sword now hits for a huge 200+ damage instantly killing one of the fishmen

The rest we can incinerate with Fira.

Time to set sail!

Out in the open ocean we are attacked by more horrors of the deep...

The black mage burns them all down with Fira...gotta love that fire AOE it wakes these fights so much faster.

A group of pirates attack us and meet the same fate...

Eventually we land at the port of Cornelia.

We need to head north past Cornelia.

Until we come to Matoyas cave.

This is where we find the witch ,I guess Astos stole her crystal eye we need to return it.

This jolt tonic is what we need to wake the sleeping prince.

Im happy that the witches sight is restored.Time to head back to Elfheim.

We need to go into the Elfheim Castle

Where we find the sleeping prince.

Giving him the jolt tonic wakes him from his long slumber.

The Elf Prince recognizes us as the Legendary warriors of Prophecy.

As a token of his gratitude he gives us the Mystic Key.This key is used to unlock treasure chest around the world map.

The first treasure room we can use the Mystic Key in is here in the Elf Castle.

We get a Mythril hammer for our white mage, some money and bronze gloves for our warrior.

Time to sail back to Cornelia to loot the Mystic chests there.

The treasure room in Cornelia Castle is the one with the wizard standing outside of it.We have 6 chests here.

The main useful items are the Mythril Knife for the Black Mage and the Nitro powder.

The Nitro powder is the next item we need to progress the story. Its used to blow a hole in a mountain to reach the city of the dwarves.

Yubert the Black Mage is happy with his new Mythril Knife.

Its time to head into the town of Cornelia and get some well deserved rest at the Inn.

Its been a hard day of adventuring, much has been accomplished. Rest well little pixelated warriors...

In the next episode we will head out to the city of the Dwarves.
