Octopus Kites - Leven Beach -Scotland

Hi Everyone

Yesterday I took my nephews and niece to a local beach here in Fife.

I didn't expect to take many photographs but there was a pretty impressive display of octopus kites swimming around in the wind so I filmed some footage to make the video above and took a handful of shots.

This is my favourite shot of the collection....it looks like an alien octopus is getting ready to attack the lifeguard's

There were 5 kites in total. The breeze blowing in from the sea had them dancing and swimming around in the air.

There was an inflatable play area along the beach a little which had a seaside theme and a giant whale slide. My 8 year old nephew Jack and 4 year old nephew George loved it. That is Jack waving from the whales mouth.

The beach is a popular summer destination, here George and his little sister Anna are building sandcastles.

I look around for some interesting compositions and find this shot of an oil rig out in the Forth estuary.

This black octopus has a Lovecraftian elder god vibe to it...Cthulhu's minion...

The rainbow octopus is a little less menacing :).

Cthulhu's minion eyes up the flags...

Its an invasion!
