    Hey Folks

Here in Fife on the east coast of Scotland we have a long distance costal path walk which stretches from the town of Kincardine to the town of Newburgh.

The walk is 63 miles of coastline which runs through some very picturesque little seaside towns.

A few weeks ago I walked along the part of it which is closest to the area I live in.These shots are taken between the towns of West Wemyss and Kirkcaldy.

Along the way I got some footage which i have edited into the video above. The overcast coastal sky made me think of the movie the Goonies.I had Goonies music in my mind while out walking so I have edited the footage to music from the Goonies soundtrack.

As I walked along the Kirkcaldy part of the coast this little boat was throwing lobster pots into the sea.

This body of water is known as the Forth estuary. The holy Island of Inchcolm lies in the middle of it ,home to an abbey dating back to the 12th centaury..

The estuary connects to the North sea and is renowned for its seafoods. Their are fishing boats and lobster pots in every harbour along the coast.

I took these shots in the West Wemyss harbour. A yellow fisherman's jacket hangs on the wall next to some netting.

On the wall above the netting there is a beautifully crafted mosaic of a lobster made from sea glass and broken bits of pottery. I have been collecting various treasures of the shoreline with the intent of creating artworks like this myself some day.

Recently someone has added a pirate flag to the Wemyss harbour...the idea here is that at high tide it looks like a sunken pirate ship...

The boat house by the harbour had a little salamander decoration in the window.

At the harbour entrance we find this old boat turned into a planter...

A little further along the coast we find more mosaics

Heading into the town of West Wemyss we pass this old derelict house. Its so close to this cliff face that its kind of dangerous for people to live here.I guess it will be demolished at some point.

The town of Wemyss has alot of old buildings some of which date back as far as the 1700s...

Along the coast in Kirkcaldy I found this old drainage tunnel...

Across from the drainage tunnel two pillars of stone stick out of the sea. I guess these were part of an old pier...

This stretch of coastline is known as sea field beach. It has a ruined 16th centaury tower which very little is known about.
