    Greetings Travelers

This is a collection of photographs and a short video I made last week in Craigtoun country park here in Fife ,Scotland.

This first shot was taken near the ticket office, the trees here have a beautiful blend of Autumn colours on display. A day pass for a family costs £29.99 and covers 2 kids and 2 adults ,under 3 year olds are free.

A map of the park , the main attraction's here are peddleboats that sail around a Dutch inspired village ,go carts ,bouncy castles, a puffin billy tractor ride and the Rio Grande mini railway.

The first stop for the kids was the bouncy castles. My 9 year old nephew Jack is in the background. I snapped this shot just as my dad was throwing my 2 year old niece Anna into the air and catching her.

The next thing the kids wanted to do was go on the peddle boats. The boating lake has a Dutch themed village at the centre. This area was once open to the public and had a café and ice cream shop but now due to some of the stonework being unsafe it is left looking like a little haunted/abandoned island.

I think it looks better in its current haunted island state. I told the kids a witch lives there that's why its sealed of :).
    DSCF9041.JPG

My brother and Jack did all the hard work.
    DSCF9044.JPG

Anna the 2 year old loves ducks ,she was very excited to see these guys sailing past the boat.
    DSCF9046.JPG

Getting under the stone bridge is a bit of a tight squeeze...
    DSCF9079.JPG

A shot of an old boat turned into a planter near the boating pond.
    DSCF9083.JPG

The next stop was the go cart track with this beautiful big tree in the centre showing a lovely blend of autumn leaves. In the background my brother is pedalling while Anna is on the back.

Jack racing his dad around the track.

Time to check out the the miniature railway.

The park has a very small Japanese garden. Although its a small space it is pretty tranquil. While the kids were eating lunch I wandered this little garden.

We were fortunate that most of the day was sunny .The midday day sun allowed for some wonderful lighting for these autumn coloured shots.

One of the last things to do before heading home was to ride the Puffin Billy. This train ride takes around 20 minutes and covers all of the parkgrounds.
    DSCF9123.JPG

While the kids were waiting for the Puffin Billy ride I went of to explore the nearby Italian garden.

These dwarves are placed in different locations around the park. I guess the aim of this is for the kids to try and find all 7 of them. Grumpy was relatively easy to find.
    DSCF9127.JPG

Time to grab some refreshment's before leaving. There are a few options for snacks the first being this coffee and donut stall.
    DSCF9035.JPG

The smell of burgers, onions and fries cooking at the gourmet grill had my mouth watering. The smell of burnt sugar from the donut stand next to it makes this area smell like a fairground, great stuff :)
    DSCF9151.JPG

I though the food from the gourmet grill was pretty well priced especially during this cost of living crisis where everything seems to cost a fortune.
    DSCF9152.JPG

The cheese burger was £4 and the large portion of fries cost £3.50.Not bad at all. The burger was delicious Aberdeen angus beef and the fries were crunchy as they should be. I would definitely buy both of them again.
    DSCF9153.JPG

I loaded the burger up with ketchup, mustard fried onions and burger sauce. It was pretty damn tasty :P
    DSCF9154.JPG

This is the café menu ,also well priced if a little limited.
    DSCF9147.JPG

The kids were more interested in Ice cream than food...
    DSCF9150.JPG

Kelly's of Cornwall has some of the nicest Ice cream I have tried, there are a few places locally that sell these flavours. If you ever get the chance to check it out go for it!
    DSCF9148.JPG

    More classic frozen treats.
    DSCF9149.JPG

Time to end the day and head home. I will leave you guys with this shot of another peaceful little garden spot that would be perfect for a picnic or just to chill out eating ice cream and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
