Hi Everyone
Its been at least a couple of months since I did one of these three tune tuesday sets.
Im back this week for @ablazes TTT 53 with 3 songs I have been playing around with alot lately.
The first song is "To sing for you" by the Scottish Folk musician Donovan
I first heard this song while watching the Bob Dylan documentry "Dont Look Back".
In it there is a scene where Dylan and Donovan are hanging out in Dylans Hotel room.Donovan plays this song for Dylan. I have been trying to come up with a version that is comfortable for me to sing with a capo in standard tuning.
Song 2 is one of my all time favorite songs. Its "The Broad Majestic Shannon" by Shane MacGowan of The Pougues.
Ive played this before for a three tune tuesday but since then I have changed the chords and polished the song quite alot coming up with my own unique version of this beautiful tune.
Here is the original pougues version.
The last song is one I heard on a tv show called "From" which is a supernatural horror about people stranded in a cursed town.In one episode the police sergent is looking for a sign from a higher power to give him inspiration to keep keeping on in the face of a dark and seemingly hopeless situation.
This song "If I had a boat" by Lyel Loveitt comes on a haunted radio in a dineer and the police sergents heavy heart is lifted...
Well thats it folks , until next time...:)
