Busy Saturday before going to work+ Finally I had my day off last Sunday

Saturday morning I suppose to wash my laundry but we don't have water supply so I decided to do another thing which is to Alig-ig(Shake or I dunno the correct term in English) the newly milled rice that we have. After hubby help harvesting rice and dried it out we had to milled the rice so we can have rice. But to bad that the milling station where he milled the rice didn't do it perfectly. It has a lot of Rice bran and hull. It is too visible since its a white rice.

So I decided to do my job to get rid of those rice bran by shaking or alig-ig using a basket we called Nigo. We use it to separate the rice from the rice bran and rice hull.

I only put enough amount of rice to shake and slowly get the rice that's been separated from the rice bran.

Luckily my parents place is surrounded by a rice field. I grow up doing those country side staffs like helping my brothers to plant and harvest rice before. I was in my elementary years when I learn how to Alig-ig and Tahop(to get the rice hull).

I thought I already forget how to do it right since it's been long time since the last I do the alig-ig thing.

It takes time for me to finish the whole half sack of rice. I had to do it faster since I still have to go to work that day.

After doing the task I had to clean and prepare going to work.

That's all the rice bran that I get

SUNDAY
Finally I can rest and relax at home. I guess it's been 2 Sundays that I had to work since my reliever was busy with her school project.
I suppose to do my laundry that day before relaxing yet I can't wash my laundry since we don't have water supply again.
So I decided to do something else inside our house.
I had to remove the Shoe boxes where we use to put our shoes since the red ants are living there. I moved our shoes to the rack that is available. After cleaning the area where I put the shoe box I take a bath and then I started relaxing.

Ending thoughts

As a working mom who mostly work 6 or 7 times a week I badly need a time to relax and rest my body especially my eyes from facing the computer for longer hours everyday.
