Hive Open Mic Week 130 || Criollísima || Venezuelan Cuatro Soloist Cover

Estamos de vuelta en el escenario de #openmic para comparitr una participación. En esta ocasión el tema hace referencia a la creatividad y el estilo libre.

No sé cuánto haya de eso en este cover solista. Aunque, me gustaría argumentar que la creatividad es un tema parecido a la belleza. Algo muy subjetivo. Podría ser que a alguien no le parezca muy creativo lo que voy a hacer. Sin embargo, podría ser que otra persona de interese en el arreglo de esta canción.

De nuevo, traigo mi cuatro venezolano para tocar otra canción de la tradición. Esta es Criollísima, un merengue venezolano de Henry Martínez con letra de Luis Laguna. Esos dos nombres tienen una relevancia enorme en el ámbito musical venezolano porque esos señores se encargaron de darle una imagen totalmente distinta al género del merengue venezolano. Bajo sus ideas y pluma, la música y letras de las canciones sufrió un cambio radical.

Gracias a ellos existen merengues que como este que interpretaré para ustedes que son unas verdaderas cartas de amor a la música. No hay tal cosa como una versión oficial de la canción en la web, pero si un montón de versiones. Muchas son cantadas. Entonces, ahí podrán escuchar la letras de está hermosísima canción.

We are back on the stage for #openmic. This week's topic is "Creativity and Free Style".

I don't know how much of that is present in this soloist cover. However, I could say that creativity is subjective like beauty. Some may think there's none in my performance; others, might applaud my effort in making this arrangement.

Once again, me and my trusty Venezuelan cuatro will sing for you a beautiful song form traidion. Criollísima is the name of the Venezuelan merengue composed by Henry Martínez and lyrics by Luis Laguna. These two manes are of big importance for this specific genre of traditional music. Under their ideas and writing, the popular Veneuzlen Merengue suffered a radical change.

It's thanks to them that songs like this one exist. True love letters to the music itself. There's not an official version of this song online, but there's plenty of versions. Lots of them are sung. With one of them, you can get a glimpse at the beauty of this song.
