In the good old days you could replace your car battery and be on your merry way. However, for better or for worse, it is no longer as simple as this. Most modern cars have whats called an "auto stop/start" system. A battery which has dropped below 90% health can prohibit this system from working, requiring you to replace what would normally be considered an adequate battery. The fun and games dont stop there though, because after shelling out a fortune for a new battery and attempting to fit it yourself, you may still find that the stop/start system still doesnt work! Oh my goodness, these new vehicles really are a pain in the arse. But fear not, your helpful motor mechanic, @article61, is here to help you. Come watch my new turorial and learn how to "battery match" a new battery to a Honda CV-R. Not got a Honda? Well dont worry because you are welcome to leave a comment and ask me anything you like! Maybe I can help solve an automotive problem for you...
