Hive is an amazing, censorship-free platform and yet so much of current content is tech and functional stuff about the way the engine part of the Hive runs, or it is content from users who frankly don't always have much to say. Neither of those grow the platform much and consume a lot of curation time. I'm suggesting that Hive choose to move past its public start up phase and that the platform wide emphasis needs to shift towards superb issues-based content that will raise some passions & engagement whilst it highlights the magic and potential of discussion without censorship.
I'm asking this question directly of @kennyskitchen @riverflows @eco-alex @quochuy @ura-soul @truthforce @theycallmedan @samstonehill and @familyprotection - and generally of anyone else who wants to respond:
The strengths we have of decentralized community and no censorship lend themselves to a proactive approach of inviting an issue, if you will, to find a home on hive. In my video I've used the issue of vaccines as an example, mostly cos it is topical right now with most everyone. There might be MANY issues others can think of that always raise a response and where people mostly have something to say. Perhaps we could have a series of 4 "big issues" to focus on in the next 6 months? Perhaps one of those could be around refugees and displaced people? Or food safety and security? media & information wars? I LOVED watching all the citizen journalists online investigating empty hospitals, and feel like inviting them ALL over to Hive where they not only belong, but will find a voice and enrich our global community.
Please watch this short video to grasp what I'm trying to ask a little better... apologies for my clumsiness in the asking and the raucous birds in my tropical Thai garden. LOL... living in paradise has its challenges.
I love the idea of decentralized global community, but decentralized can also easily become splintered and fragmented since those energies are part of the same continuum. Are we ready to collaborate and work together cohesively on serious issues that really matter in the evolution of humanity during this paradigm shift?
Please tag me in your @threespeak video responses. This video prepared in response to the #communityAMA initiated by @theycallmedan.
Much gratitude for watching & considering.
