    I hope you're doing well ✨
    Since I started posting in creative Sunday, or generally it's all been about crochet or watercolors, but for today I was determined to do something different.
    I'm not so fond of cooking and not much a domesticated woman ( kinda spoiled, maybe because im the youngest and my elder sister is always there for me and now my sister-in-law, so no blame over me 🤌), but for today I had thought something as different as I could.
    So yeah Gol Gapa ( otherwise known as Pani Puri in India) is a very famous street food. There's hardly a person who could resist them. Those swelled up puries always had a special place in my heart.

    Now let's talk about how I made them.

    Ingredients

    • Semolina - 1cup
    • White Flour - 2 tsp
    • Grams - 1/5 cup
    • Potatoes - 2 medium size
    • Tamarind - 2 tsp
    • Dried Plum - 2 tsp
    • Yoghurt - 1 cup
    • Sweet Soda - 1/8 teaspoon
    • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
    • Onion - 1small size
    • Tomato - 1 medium size
    • Coriander
    • Mint
    • Green Chilli

    Procedure

    At first I made the dough for the puries (though I'm Pakistani and we call them gol gapa but here the word 'puri' makes the right sense to me😅). For that I mixed the main ingredients for i.e. semolina, white flour, soda and salt.

    The I added 1/5 cup of water to mix it well, first with spoon, later with hands.

    After that I put it over the stay. For that splash some water and cover with wet piece of cloth. You have to keep it like this unless the grains in it are completely mixed.


    After that I suppose to cut it into small circles. I couldn't find anything that was sharp enough to cut the edges. Then turned towards my nieces' toys, where I found this cup that was of a good size and had relatively sharp enough to cut the dough.

    Then I started making these circles. I as actually terrified that what they couldn't swell. So first I tried few, they swelled up immediately, and o my god! I cannot define in words that how happy I was. I was carrying that first one in the plate and showing everyone proudly that I did it. And guess what my niece saw and ate it immediately, I couldn't capture it. But anyways there were more to come🥰

    Then made it's stuffing. I boiled these potatoes.

    Fortunately we had these frozen grams in our refrigerator, so a task was lessened by this.

    Then I added onions, tomatoes, some coriander chat masala and salt and mixed it well

    For pani, I had soaked these since morning so they were pretty soft till now.

    I separated the seeds and then grinded.
    Then added some masala and paste of coriander, mint and green chilli. ( I was fasting while Making, and believe me I was having hunger pangs even thinking about the way they're gonna turned up).

    Time of maghrib hit while I was still in kitchen. I had planned to stuff them before serving, but I couldn't. So we had to make for everyone separately while iftar.

    Everyone loved it so much. And it had came out so delicious, and right now there's no space in my stomach but I want to have more.

    Wait something's missing.
    O yeah! I forgot to make green Chatni🤦. You should add it, it tastes even better with it.
