Desde que estoy en Argentina, no había celebrado un cumpleaños de esta manera que aunque continúa siendo íntimo, hubo un giro importante. Recibí mensajes hermosos, llamadas alegres de familiares y de amigos; así como también celebrar buenas noticias que me hicieron sentir vibrante; a pesar, que Hive logró mantener con vida mi existencia al compartir conocimientos y desarrollar mi pensamiento, no era suficiente, me hacía falta el calor directo de atender y mediar el proceso de aprender de niños con necesidades especiales.

Since I have been in Argentina, I had not celebrated a birthday in this way and although it continues to be intimate, there was an important twist. I received beautiful messages, happy calls from family and friends; as well as celebrating the good news that made me feel vibrant; although Hive managed to keep my existence alive by sharing knowledge and developing my thinking, it was not enough, I needed the direct warmth of attending and mediating the learning process of children with special needs.

Mi cumpleaños después de 12 años siempre lo comparto con un ser especial, esa persona es mi esposo porque él también cumple el mismo día. Esto tiene sus ventajas, una llamada para ambos extendida, una torta para 2 y es recordatorio para el hombre que su pareja también está de cumple. Este año un número nos une más, cumplimos el 5 de marzo, yo cumplí 45, él 50 y Amanda nuestra hija tiene 5, por tanto, unimos los dígitos y creamos el número 450 😝. Además, en esta oportunidad una amiga pastelera venezolana me hizo la torta Red Velvet, un pastel que tiene un sabor húmedo, pintado con el color natural de la remolacha y el relleno de queso nada grasoso y que no empalaga, el equilibrio perfecto.

My birthday after 12 years I always share it with a special person, that person is my husband because he also has the same birthday. This has its advantages, an extended phone call for both of us, a cake for 2 and it is a reminder for the man that his partner also has a birthday. This year a number brings us closer together, we turned March 5, I turned 45, he turned 50 and Amanda our daughter is 5, so we put the digits together and created the number 450 😝. Also, this time a Venezuelan baker friend of mine made me the Red Velvet cake, a cake that has a moist flavor, painted with the natural color of the beet and the cheese filling is not greasy and not cloying, the perfect balance.

Fue una noche hermosa, compartir con los seres queridos; flores, regalos y la torta decoraban la mesa y un feliz cumpleaños pegado a la pared, junto al regalo más hermoso, el dibujo de Amanda para sus padres. Comimos tequeños porque el cumpleaños venezolano este pasapalo es símbolo de celebración, pero en esta oportunidad comimos miniyoyos, es decir, tequeños rellenos de queso con plátano. Escuchamos música, conversamos de todo, hablar de planes, reorientar propósitos de inmigrantes en un país suramericano; recordar los buenos momentos en Venezuela para reír, reflexionar experiencias, sentir nostalgia y valorar lo nuevo que hemos creado. Cantar el cumpleaños venezolano para que Amanda conozca las tradiciones en familia.

It was a beautiful night, sharing with loved ones; flowers, gifts and cake decorated the table and a happy birthday stuck to the wall, next to the most beautiful gift, Amanda's drawing for her parents. We ate tequeños because this Venezuelan birthday snack is a symbol of celebration, but this time we ate miniyoyos, that is, tequeños stuffed with cheese and banana. We listened to music, talked about everything, talked about plans, reorienting purposes of immigrants in a South American country; remembering the good times in Venezuela to laugh, reflect on experiences, feel nostalgia and appreciate the new things we have created. Sin embargo, este año sentí el estímulo de mayor sentido porque empecé con afirmaciones para obtener un trabajo que me genere bienestar, fue el mejor regalo escuchar que preguntaran por mí diferentes Centros de Integración Especial para ofrecerme el cargo de Maestra Integradora, cuerpo y mi pensamiento registraron la sensación de satisfacción de lograr ejercer mi profesión al pasar las entrevistas hasta conseguir el puesto. Feliz pasé el cumpleaños, había tantas razones para celebrar y sentir orgullo de mi formación en Venezuela, además mi esposo siempre creyó en mí y me animaba; ahora siento motivación para buscar otras metas en Argentina, país que me abrió las puertas para vivir ampliamente.

However, this year I felt the stimulus of greater sense because I started with affirmations to obtain a job that generates me wellbeing, it was the best gift to hear that different Special Integration Centers asked for me to offer me the position of Integrating Teacher. My body and my thoughts registered the feeling of satisfaction of being able to practice my profession by passing the interviews until I got the position. Happy I spent my birthday, there were so many reasons to celebrate and feel proud of my education in Venezuela, besides my husband always believed in me and encouraged me; now I feel motivated to seek other goals in Argentina, a country that opened the doors to live widely.
