Un saludo amistoso queridos Hivers, especialmente a todos los que cada semana nutren la comunidad de Punkumundo con sus grandiosas entradas. En esta ocasión les traigo una canción muy especial para mí, se trata de “Into Infinite Obscurity” de la banda sueca de Black Metal Melódico “Dissection”. Esta es una bella pieza en acústico, cuyas notas expresan lo que sugiera su título, literalmente estar en medio de la oscuridad infinita.

La conocí en el año 2012 y siempre ha sido uno de mis temas favoritos. Así como Dissection es una de las bandas que más me gusta del género. A pesar de tener matices muy oscuros, las canciones de esta banda tienen una estética muy particular en las melodías, así como en sus intervenciones con la guitarra acústica, que son muy comunes en cada canción.

Como todas las bandas de Black Metal, esta también tiene una historia muy polémica en torno a su fundador, compositor, guitarrista y vocalista Jon Nödtveidt. No solo por haber sido acusado de asesinato y encarcelado por ello; también por su misterioso suicidio ritual, que genero tantas expectativas para sus seguidores.

Más allá de toda esta historia que, en mi opinión, solo se trata de leyendas que enriquecen el mundo del Black Metal y le dan esa mística satánica y oscura, que algunos disfrutamos. Creo que cada canción de Dissection es una obra maestra. Por su complejidad musical y la belleza de sus letras. Está en particular en muy hermosa.

This time I bring you a very special song for me, it is "Into Infinite Obscurity" by the Swedish Melodic Black Metal band "Dissection". This is a beautiful acoustic piece, whose notes express what its title suggests, literally being in the middle of infinite darkness.

I first came across it in 2012 and it has always been one of my favorite tracks. As well as Dissection is one of the bands I like the most of the genre. Despite having very dark nuances, the songs of this band have a very particular aesthetic in the melodies, as well as in their interventions with the acoustic guitar, which are very common in each song.

Like all Black Metal bands, this one also has a very controversial history around its founder, composer, guitarist and vocalist Jon Nödtveidt. Not only because he was accused of murder and imprisoned for it, but also because of his mysterious ritual suicide, which generated so many expectations for his followers.

Beyond all this history that, in my opinion, are just legends that enrich the world of Black Metal and give it that dark and satanic mystique, that some of us enjoy. I think that every Dissection song is a masterpiece. For its musical complexity and the beauty of its lyrics. This one in particular is very beautiful.
