We start by making a small cut at both ends of the lemon, then we cut the lemon in half, and finally we do the same with the two halves resulting from the previous cut, thus giving 4 parts in the shape of a "moon" (it is important to note that if the lemon is very large, only one half is enough, and if it is very small it is cut into 4 parts).
We add the lemon pieces to the Highball glass and with the help of our macerator, we crush the lemon until it releases some of its juice and bitterness thanks to its peel. We proceed to add 4 mint leaves, and macerate again, this time, gently without damaging the leaves too much. We proceed to pour 1/2oz of sugar syrup and 1 ½ oz of our favorite white rum, with the help of our Spoon bar we stir a little the contents of the glass, add ice (preferably crushed ice) up to half and stir again gently from top to bottom so that the lemon and mint are better placed in the glass (In this preparation, (In this preparation, we personally take into account the presentation) then we add the ice again until the top of the glass, and with the help of our Spoon bar we pour the soda or soft drink so that it does not generate many bubbles and last but not least, another shake with our long spoon, of course, this time use a napkin to avoid any accident. There are two ways to use the Spoon bar when pouring these carbonated drinks, comment if you are interested in knowing more about these incredible tricks and secrets of the cocktail bar! And well, as a pirate of that time would say, we are ready to search for our next treasure!
