Let's Play "Time for Lunch" (PICO-8) 🐦‍⬛🧺

Time for Lunch by Zep is a platformer on PICO-8. You control a Bird who must protect the food basket it carries until it reaches its destination.

It's a simple game where you can fly, move around and avoid obstacles while keeping the basket that's following you in mind. You lose a level if you or the basket hit an obstacle. Time for Lunch is challenging, and I kept losing. The fact you can't control the food basket makes avoiding the obstacles twice as hard.

In this video, you'll watch my bird die a dozen times, and lose his food twice as much. Hope you get a laugh or two watching this.

PICO-8 is a Fantasy Console designed to create, share and play small retro-inspired games. Games made for PICO-8 are constrained in aethistics, code and size to encourage creativity. PICO-8 comes with a built-in code editor, graphics, and sound tools. Games are distributed in image files called Cartridges. In this series of videos, I discover great games made on this Fantasy Console, letting you discover these games with me.
